1. All India Institute of Ayurveda Signs MoU with Western Sydney University Australia
  • All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Western Sydney University, Australia at New Delhi. The MoU will promote collaboration in research and developing guidelines for integrating Ayurveda principles with modern medicine. 
  • The memorandum was agreed and exchange on the occasion of the event “India Australia International Education and Research Workshop” at Ambedkar International Center, New Delhi.


2. ECI appoints M K Das as Special Police Observer for Jharkhand Assembly Elections
  • Election Commission of India has appointed Mrinal Kanti Das (IPS 1977 Retd) as Special Police Observer for the ensuing Elections to the State Legislative Assembly of Jharkhand 2019. 
  • The Election Commission took the decision in light of the specific challenges of Left Wing Extremism affecting the Law and Order situation in Jharkhand.


3. Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh inaugurates 172nd Defence Pensioners Adalat in Lucknow
  • Rajnath Singh inaugurated the 172nd Defence Pensioners Adalat in Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow, becoming the first Raksha Mantri to be a part of the event.
  • The two-day Defence Pensioners Adalat aims at redressal of pension related grievances of veterans of the Armed Forces and their Next of Kin residing in all districts of Uttar Pradesh. It has been organised by Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pensions), Prayagraj in close coordination with Headquarters Central Command.


4. India’s first largest biotechnology conference Global Bio-India Summit, 2019 concludes in New Delhi
  • India’s first largest biotechnology conference - the Global Bio-India (GBI) Summit, 2019 concluded in New Delhi.
  • The three-day event was organized by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India along with its Public Sector Undertaking, Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC). The associated partners for this event were Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE) and Invest India.


5. Two-Day Conference of Governors Commences at Rashtrapati Bhavan
  • The two-day Conference of Governors and Lt. Governors commenced (November 23, 2019) at Rashtrapati Bhavan with the inaugural address of the President of India Ram Nath Kovind. 
  • This is the 50th such Conference held in Rashtrapati Bhavan and the third Conference presided over by President Kovind.

7. India and Finland sign an MoU for strengthening cooperation in the field of Tourism
  • India and Finland sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strengthening cooperation in the field of Tourism.
  • The MOU was signed by Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Minister for Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, Government of Finland Mr Timo Harakka.
