1. Prime Minister Modi to participate in East Asia and RCEP Summit in Bangkok
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the East Asia and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) summits in Bangkok. Besides he will also hold meetings with Japan Prime Minister Shinzō Abe, Vietnam PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Australian PM Scott Morrison in Bangkok.


2. India not to join Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership free trade deal
  • India decides not to join Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) free trade deal as negotiations failed to address New Delhi's concerns.
  • PM Modi tells RCEP agreement does not reflect its original intent and that the outcome is not fair or balanced.
  • The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is a proposed free-trade agreement (FTA) among 16 countries.


3. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh chairs Ambassadors’ Round-table on DefExpo 2020
  • The Ministry of Defence organised Ambassadors’ Round Table conference on DefExpo 2020, chaired by Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh in New Delhi.
  • The Round Table was aimed to brief the representatives of foreign missions based in New Delhi about the arrangements being made for DefEpo and elicit suggestions from them to further improve the experience.


4. Prime Minister Modi Meets Japanese PM Shinzo Abe
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe on the margins of India-ASEAN and East Asia Summit 2019 at Bangkok on 04 November 2019.
  • The two leaders have met with each other thrice in the last about four months, and their previous meeting was in Vladivostok in September 2019.


5. Prime Minister Modi meets Prime Minister of Australia
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Mr Scott Morrison, Prime Minister of Australia on the sidelines of India-ASEAN and East Asia Summit 2019 at Bangkok on 04 November 2019.
  • During the meeting both leaders reviewed the progress made in bilateral relationship and noted that frequent high level meetings and exchanges at all levels have created positive momentum in the relationship and reaffirmed their desire to further strengthen India-Australia bilateral relations.


6. Prime Minister Modi meets Prime Minister of Vietnam
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi met  Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the sidelines of India-ASEAN and East Asia Summit 2019 at Bangkok on 04 November 2019.
  • The Leaders reaffirmed the historical and traditional friendly relations between the two countries and emphasized that India-Vietnam relations have been built on a firm foundation of cultural and civilisational links and are marked by mutual trust and understanding as well as strong cooperation in regional and international fora.


7. Women Scientists’ & Entrepreneurs’ Conclave
  • The Women Scientists’ and Entrepreneurs’ Conclave of the India International Science Festival (IISF) at Kolkata.
  • The third edition of women scientists’ conclave to be organized on November 7-8, 2019 at Biswa Bangla Convention Center is an effort to inspire young women to take up careers in Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship and help them get exposed to opportunities in the field.
  • The Conclave aims to develop scientific temper among enthusiastic students to uplift Indian science in its highest rank.


8. Commerce & Industry Minister to launch curtain raiser of GES 2019
  • Union Minister of Commerce and Industry & Railways, Piyush Goyal, will launch the curtain raiser of 5th Global Exhibition on Services (GES) in New Delhi on 5th November 2019. The exhibition will be held in Bengaluru from 26th – 28th November 2019.
  • The curtain raiser will be a prelude to the main GES and showcase the planned activities over the span of three days of Global Exhibition on Services 2019 and the expected outcomes of the exhibition.


9. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh on 3-day official visit to Russia 
  • Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Russia from November 5-7, 2019 to co-chair 19th India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC) in Moscow.
  • During his visit, Raksha Mantri is expected to hold extensive discussions with Defence Minister of Russian Federation General Sergei Shoigu covering all areas of military-to-military cooperation and defence industrial cooperation.


10. Manoj Pande, IRPS appointed as Member Staff, Railway Board
  • Manoj Pande, Indian Railways Personnel Service (IRPS) (1981 CS Exam) has taken over as Member Staff, Railway Board and ex-officio Secretary to Govt. of India on 2nd November, 2019. Prior to this, he was working as Director General, Personnel, Railway Board.


11. Harsh Vardhan inaugurates Mission Innovation (MI) Face-to-Face Meeting of Innovation Challenges
  • The Union Minister of Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated the Mission Innovation (MI) Face to Face meeting of Innovation Challenges(IC) in New Delhi.
  • The objective of the meeting is to take stock of the deliverables by MI and its plans until 2020. Another major objective is to identify major gap areas in Clean Energy Innovation and how to address these beyond 2020 to make MI more impactful.


12. Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship launches Skills Build platform in Collaboration with IBM
  • Directorate General of Training (DGT), under the aegis of Ministry of Skills Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), announced the launch of SkillsBuild platform in collaboration with IBM.
  • As part of the programme, a two-year advanced diploma in IT, networking and cloud computing, co-created and designed by IBM, will be offered at the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) & National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs).


13. Delhi Aadi Mahotsav to be organised at Dilli Haat between 16th to 30th November, 2019
  • The Delhi Aadi Mahotsav will be organised at Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi between 16th to 30th November, 2019. The inaugural ceremony will be graced by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah as Chief Guest and the Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda will preside.
  • The theme of the festival is “a Celebration of the Spirit of Tribal Crafts, Culture and Commerce”, which represents the basic ethos of tribal life. The festival, will feature exhibition-cum-sale of tribal handicrafts, art, paintings, fabric, jewellery and much more through 200 stalls to showcase this.
