1. Prime Minister inaugurates the Rising Himachal: Global Investors Meet 2019 in Dharamshala
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Rising Himachal, the Global Investors Meet 2019 at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
  • Prime Minister described Himachal as having an immense potential for conference tourism.
  • Prime Minister also visited the exhibition show casing the investment potential and opportunities of Himachal Pradesh.


2. Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurates the first ever ‘BIMSTEC Ports’ Conclave’ in Visakhapatnam
  • The first ever BIMSTEC Conclave of Ports, being held at Visakhapatnam on 7-8 November, 2019 was inaugurated by Minister of State for Shipping(I/C), Mansukh Mandaviya today.The conclave aims at providing a platform to strengthen maritime interaction, port-led connectivity initiatives and sharing best practices among member countries. Providing Connectivity is one of the key priorities among BIMSTEC countries.
  • The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) is an International Organization involving a group of countries in South Asia and South East Asia namely, Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan and Nepal.


3. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on being re-elected as President of UAE
  • The Prime MinisternNarendra Modi has congratulated President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa binnZayed Al Nahyan on being re-elected as President of the UAE.

4. GeM Partners with Central Bank of India for Payment Related Services
  • Government e-Marketplace (GeM) signed an MoU with Central Bank of India. Through this partnership, Central Bank of India will be able to offer an array of services including transfer of funds through GeM Pool Accounts (GPA), advising of electronic Performance Bank Guarantees (e-PBG) and Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) to the registered users on the portal.
  • The MOU was signed by Rajeev Kandpal, CFO, GeM and A.K. Mishra, Field General Manager,Central Bank of India in the presence of Talleen Kumar, CEO, GeM.


5. FM chairs 21st Meeting of the Financial Stability and Development Council (FSDC)
  • The 21st Meeting of the Financial Stability and Development Council (FSDC) was held here under the Chairmanship of the Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.
  • The Council reviewed the current global and domestic macro-economic situation and financial stability and vulnerabilities issues, including inter-alia, those concerning NBFCs and Credit Rating Agencies.

  • ' No Money for Terror' Ministerial Conference held in Melbourne, Australia.  Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G. Kishan Reddy is leading a five-member delegation to the 'No Money For Terror' Ministerial Conference taking place in Melbourne, Australia. 
  • The delegation comprises of high ranking officials including DG NIA. 65 nations are represented at the conference. 
  • Reddy announced at the conference that India would host the next 'No Money For Terror' Conference in 2020.

  • Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ and Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Smt. Harsimrat Kaur Badal launched three books on Guru Nanak Dev Ji at Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi on the occasion of 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
  • The National Book Trust under Ministry of HRD has published three Punjabi titles – Guru Nanak Bani, Nanak Bani, and Sakhian Guru Nanak Dev to spread the message of Guru Nanak Dev. 
  • The title Guru Nanak Bani has also been published in Urdu, Odia,Marathi, Hindi and Gujarati were also released on the occasion.
  • The translation in Assamese, Bangla, Kannada, Sanskrit, Kashmiri, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Sindhiand English has been taken up.


8. “Marghe and Her Mother” to be the closing film at 50th  International Film Festival of India (IFFI)
  • The 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), the trend promises to continue till the closing day. The India Premiere of “Marghe and Her Mother” directed by Iranian filmmaker, Mohsen Makhmalbaf will be the Closing Film of the festival.
  • The film revolves around Marghe, a six year old girl who lives with her single mother Claudia who has been kicked out of her house because of payment difficulties, leaving Marghe to an old woman next door. This is Makhmalbaf’s first film set in Italy and in Italian language, away from his regular backdrop of Iran.
