1. Moody’s Investors Service changed India’s rating outlook to negative from stable

Global rating agency Moody’s Investors Service changed its outlook for India’s sovereign rating (Baa2) to negative from stable while keeping the foreign-currency and local-currency long-term issuer ratings unchanged at Baa2.

2. 27th Conference of Central and State Statistical Organizations to be held on 11th-12th November 2019 at Kolkata

Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is organizing 27th Conference of Central and State Statistical Organizations (COCSSO) during 11-12th November 2019 at Biswa Bangla , Kolkata.
The theme of this year’s Conference “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”, has been chosen for intensive and focused discussions aimed at filling the data gaps and improvement of timelines/quality in SDG monitoring.

3. Prime Minister to inaugurate the Integrated Check Post at Kartarpur Corridor on 9th November 2019

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shall inaugurate the Integrated Check Post of the Kartarpur Corridor at Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur in Punjab on the 9th of November 2019.
Prime Minister, shall, prior to this,pay obeisance at Ber Sahib Gurudwara at Sultanpur Lodhi.

4. Vice Chief of the Air Staff Launches Phase 2 Upgraded 3d air Combat Mobile Game Indian air Force: a Cut Above

The Vice Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal HS Aror, launched the multiplayer version of its upgraded 3D Air Combat Mobile Game “Indian Air Force: A Cut Above” at the Air Force Bal Bharti School.
The game was initially launched by the Indian Air Force to connect with the youth of the country and inspire them to join the Indian Air Force.

5. Cabinet Secretary chairs NCMC meeting to review preparedness to deal with Severe Cyclone ‘Bulbul’ over West Bengal and Odisha

A meeting of the National Crisis Management Committee (NCMC), chaired by the Cabinet Secretary, Rajiv Gauba, was held today to review the preparedness to deal with Severe cyclone ‘Bulbul’over the Bay of Bengal and likely to affect coastal districts of West Bengal and Odisha.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that the cyclone that had developed in Bay of Bengal, has now intensified and is likely to cross the West Bengal coast by the early morning of 10th November, 2019. Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, accompanied by winds reaching upto 110-120 kmph and tidal waves up to 1.5 metre, are expected.

6. Inaugural conclave: National Capital Region -2041 to be held in Delhi

The inaugural conclave “NCR-2041” with the theme “Planning for Tomorrow’s Greatest Capital Region” will be held in the national capital on 11th November 2019.
The Regional Plan-2041 for NCR will be among the key instruments to address various issues related to harmonious development of the largest metropolitan region of the world.
The Conclave will be chaired by D.S. Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Govt. of India.

7. Union Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot Visits ‘Shilpotsav - 2019’

Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment, Thaawarchand Gehlot visited the “Shilpostav- 2019” to encourage the artisans at Dilli Haat, INA, in New Delhi.
Shilpostav- 2019 is the annual fair of artisans from across the country, belonging to the weaker sections of the society, which began on 1st November and will continue till 15th November 2019.
