Controller General of Accounts: Smt. Soma Roy Burman, a 1986-batch Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS) Officer, took charge as the new Controller General of Accounts in New Delhi.
Smt. Burman is the 24th Controller General of Accounts (CGA) and is the seventh woman to hold this coveted position.

Govt extended mandatory FASTag rollout deadline to December 15, 2019
The government announced extending the date to December 15 for making FASTag mandatory for toll payments on national highways.
Previously the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways(MoRT&H) announced December 1, 2019 as the deadline for enrolment, toll payments on highways would be accepted through FASTags only.

20th Edition of Hornbill festival began in Nagaland
The 20th edition of the Hornbill festival began in Heritage Kisama, an Amphitheatre in Kohima, Nagaland.
The festival organised by Nagaland Government is an annual tourism promotional event to showcase the state’s traditional and rich cultural heritage in all its ethnicity, diversity and grandeur.
The 10 Days Hornbill Festival began with the traditional blessing pronounced by Mongtei of Aniashu village while the Chief host and Host opened the festival by beating the traditional gong. Nagaland Governor R N Ravi was the chief host of the festival, while Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio was the host.
