India, Gambia to work out MoU on Refurbishing Personnel Administration of Gambia

India and Gambia have agreed to work out a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on refurbishing personnel administration of Gambia. The Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) and National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) will extend technical assistance and develop a collaboration through an MoU on Refurbishing Personnel Administration of Gambia.

This was conveyed by the Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (I/C) Dr. Jitendra Singh during talks with a delegation from the Gambia Public Service Commission.
The 11-Member delegation, led by the Vice Chairman, Public Services Commission of Gambia, Mrs. Awa Auber, is on a visit to India from December 02-6, 2019.

The objective of the visit is to study Best Practices in Public Management relating to Performance Management System, Recruitment Management System and Civil Services Pension Scheme.......Read More



Lt Gen P S Rajeshwar takes over as C-n-C of Andaman & Nicobar Command


About Lt Gen Podali Shankar Rajeshwar:

He is a graduate of Indian Military Academy and was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in December 1980. A gunner and aviator, he is an alumnus of the Defence Services Staff College, Army War College and National Defence College in New Delhi and Philippines.


Lt Gen Rajeshwar has actively taken part in Operation Meghdoot and Operation Rakshak. Further, he has commanded a Medium Regiment in Operation Parakram, an infantry brigade on the Line of Control, Counter Insurgency (Romeo) Force in Jammu & Kashmir and a Corps in the Desert sector. He has served on various staff assignments and also been UN Military Observer in Mozambique and Rwanda.

India has become the first country in the world which has made the entire Haj 2020 process 100 per cent digital, announced by the Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi signed the bilateral agreement for next year's pilgrimage with the Saudi Haj Minister in Jeddah.

An online application, e-visa, Haj mobile app, 'e-MASIHA' health facility, "e-luggage pre-tagging" providing all information in India itself regarding accommodation and transportation in Mecca and Madina will be provided to 2 lakh Indian Muslims going for Haj in 2020.
