1. Goa to host 2nd edition of startup India Global Venture Capital Summit 2019

• The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), in partnership with Government of Goa, is organizing the 2nd edition of the Startup India Global Venture Capital Summit, on 6th and 7th of December, 2019 for Fund Managers and Limited Partners of Top Global Venture Capital Firms.
• The theme for Startup India Global Venture Capital Summit 2019 is India Opportunity – Investing in tomorrow together.

2. Cabinet approves pact with Germany on Railways

• The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was apprised of the Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) between India and Germany regarding cooperation on strategic projects in the field of Railways. The Joint Declaration of Intent was signed last month.

3. PM Modi and President of Maldives jointly inaugurate development projects in Maldives via video conference

• The Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih jointly inaugurated several key development projects in Maldives via video conference.
• These included gifting of Made in India Coast Guard Ship Kaamiyaab to Maldives, launch of RuPay card, lighting up of Male using LED lights, High Impact Community Development Projects, launch of fish processing plants.

4. Fit India School Rating System launched as part of Fit India Campaign

• Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ and Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports Kiren Rijiju jointly inaugurated the newly constructed Cricket Stadium at KV No. 1, Delhi Cantt in Delhi.
• They also launched the Fit India School Rating System. Member of Parliament Smt Meenakshi Lekhi graced the occasion along with other dignitaries.
