2. Dharmendra Pradhan chairs First Meeting of Consultative Committee of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas

• Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Minister of Steel Dharmendra Pradhan chaired the first meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Members of Parliament (MPs) of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas on 5 December 2019.
• The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and External Affairs V. Muraleedharan, 19 MPs from Lok Sabha and 8 MPs from Raj Sabha. Secretary (Petroleum & NG), other senior officials of the Ministry and CMDs of Indian oil & Gas PSUs were present during the meeting.

• Government has released the list of best performing Police stations from across the country. 
• Aberdeen police station from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Balasinor police station from Gujarat and Ajk Burhanpur from Madhya Pradesh take the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

• The 7th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting was held in Vienna, Austria, on Friday, 06 December 2019, under the Co-Chairmanship of OPEC’s President, HE Manuel Salvador Quevedo Fernandez, People's Minister of Petroleum of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and HE Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation.
