First anniversary of National War Memorial being observed today
A ceremony will be held today at the War Memorial to mark the first anniversary. The Chief of Defense Staff, General Bipin Rawat and the veterans of the three services laid wreaths and paid tribute to the martyred soldiers.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in a tweet said that, this War Memorial is a tribute to those fallen soldiers who made supreme sacrifices in the line of duty. He affirmed that India will always remain indebted to their service and sacrifice.
The monument was dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25th February last year.
