IFS Gopal Baglay has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka

IFS officer Gopal Baglay (IFS:1992) has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

Gopal Baglay is a 1992-batch officer of Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Baglay succeeds Taranjit Singh Sandhu in Sri Lanka. Sandhu has been appointed Indian Ambassador to the US.

He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
