GST Revenue Collection Crosses 1 lakh Crore for February 2020, Gross Revenue Hike 8% - Finance Ministry


The gross GST revenue collected in the month of February, 2020 is ₹ 1,05,366 crore of which CGST is ₹ 20,569 crore, SGST is ₹ 27,348 crore, IGST is ₹ 48,503 crore (including ₹ 20,745 crore collected on imports) and Cess is ₹ 8,947 crore (including ₹ 1,040 Crore collected on imports). The total number of GSTR 3B Returns filed for the month of January up to 29th February, 2020 is 83.53 lakh.


The government has settled ₹ 22,586 crore to CGST and ₹ 16,553 crore to SGST from IGST as regular settlement. The total revenue earned by Central Government and the State Governments after regular settlement in the month of February,2020 is ₹ 43,155 crore for CGST and ₹ 43,901 crore for the SGST.

Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi inaugurates “Hunar Haat” at Harmu Ground, Ranchi Jharkhand 

Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi were inaugurating “Hunar Haat” at Harmu Ground, Harmu Chowk in Ranchi (Jharkhand). This “Hunar Haat” is being organised by Union Minority Affairs Ministry from 29th February to 08th March, 2020.

This is for the first time that “Hunar Haat” is being organised in Jharkhand. This is the 21st “Hunar Haat” of the Union Minority Affairs Ministry.

“Hunar Haat” is an effective mission which has been ensuring that the common people become a part of mainstream economic development.

“Hunar Haat” has been providing market and opportunity to India’s indigenous legacy of handmade art/crafts. “Hunar Haat” has proved to be magnificent platform to understand India’s rich cultural heritage under one roof.

Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel to launch multilingual Incredible India website in New Delhi 

The Minister of State (IC) for Tourism & Culture Prahlad Singh Patel will launch the multilingual Incredible India website in New Delhi tomorrow. The launch event will witness participation by key stakeholders of tourism industry, foreign ambassadors, foreign correspondents, major associations among others.

Incredible India website, the flagship project launched by Ministry of Tourism, is a promotional website with an aim to project India as a ‘must-visit’ destination across the globe.

The website now comprises of a plethora of information around 165 destinations, 2700+ pages, 28 States + 9 UTs alongwith multiple attractions. The website which is currently hosted in English and Hindi is now being launched in Chinese, Arabic and Spanish with primary objective to effectively engage the visitors across web and social media platforms thereby providing an exciting experience to the travellers visiting the website from countries from where we witness major tourist footfall.



Minister Narendra Singh Tomar inaugurates the Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela-2020 

The Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Narendra Singh Tomar inaugurates the Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela-2020 in New Delhi.

At a separate function, an MoU was signed between the ICAR and Patanjali Bio Research Institute (PBRI), Haridwar in the presence of the three Ministers. The MoU was signed by Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra on behalf of ICAR and Shri Acharya Balkrishna, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Patanjali & Managing Director, PBRI. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Tomar said the MoU will promote Organic Farming with the R&D expertise of ICAR and the indigenization efforts of Patanjali in a wide range of products.



Indian Air Force and Savitribai Phule Pune University sign MoU to establish a 'Chair of Excellence' 

The Indian Air Force (IAF) and Savitribai Phule Pune University entered into an academic collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a 'Chair of Excellence' at Department of Defence & Strategic Studies on 29 Feb 20.

To pay tribute to the legend and commemorate the centenary birth year of the MIAF, the IAF has named it as "Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh Chair of Excellence". The Chair will enable IAF officers to pursue Doctoral Research and higher studies in Defence & Strategic Studies and allied fields.

The chair will facilitate research and higher studies in the area of National Defence and allied fields of Air Force officers. The chair would facilitate inculcating astrategic outlook and building a pool of strategic thinkers.



Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurates the campus of NSG Regional Hub at Kolkata 

Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah inaugurated the campus of National Security Guard (NSG) Regional Hub campus at Kolkata.

The Home Minister presided over the inauguration and founding stone laying ceremony of various welfare projects for NSG, amounting to over Rs. 245 crores, across Kolkata, Manesar, Chennai and Mumbai.

This state-of-the-art regional hub complex at Kolkata, worth over Rs.162 crores, will have Residential and Non Residential Complexes to house 460 persons and families, office accommodation and modern training facilities such as Baffle firing range, indoor shooting range, obstacles, swimming pool, sports complex and artificial rock craft wall etc.



A Week Long “Ekam Fest” to Begin Today to Promote Craftsmanship & Products of Divyang Artisans And Entrepreneurs

Union Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment Thaawarchand Gehlot will inaugurate the week long Exhibition-cum-Fair “EKAM Fest” organised by National Handicapped Finance Development Corporation (NHFDC) under M/o Social Justice & Empowerment at State Emporia Complex, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, New Delhi.

EKAM Fest is an effort for promoting entrepreneurship and knowledge among Divyangjan community, generating awareness among society about potentialities of PwDs & providing a major marketing opportunity to PwDs entrepreneurs.

The week long Ekam Fest will also host a number of activities like cultural extravaganza including performances by Divyang artists and well known professionals. Additional highlights of the event will be astrological consultations and foot massage by Divyang professionals.

In the first Ekam Fest, Divyang Entrepreneur and Artisans from all over the country have been invited with representation from J&K to Puducherry and from Nagaland to Gujarat.
