Former President Pranab Mukherjee passes away at 84, due to lung infection: Highlights with Details

Former President of India Pranab Mukherjee died at the age of 84. He was ill for the past several days and was admitted to the Army Hospital in Delhi. He was put on ventilator and being treated for a lung infection.

Former President Pranab Mukherjee suffered septic shock due to a lung infection. Septic shock is a serious condition in which blood pressure stops functioning and body parts fail to get enough oxygen.

Pranab Mukherjee's son Abhijeet Mukherjee tweeted the information of Pranab Mukherjee's death.

Abhijeet Mukherjee tweeted, "With a Heavy Heart , this is to inform you that my father Shri #PranabMukherjee has just passed away inspite of the best efforts of Doctors of RR Hospital & prayers ,duas & prarthanas from people throughout India !
I thank all of You 🙏"

After the death of Former President Pranab Mukherjee, the central government has announced a seven-day national mourning.
