The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet approved the extension of Mr Bhalla in the same post, beyond the date of his superannuation on 30th Nov, 2020.


Bangladesh-India to resume flights under ‘air bubble’ arrangement from October 28 

The flights between Bangladesh and India will resume from October 28 under the ‘air-bubble’ arrangement between the two countries. 

Announcing this through a Facebook post on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh said that three Bangladeshi airlines- Biman Bangladesh, US-Bangla Airlines and Novo Air will initially operate 28 flights a week to India .


9 States and UTs selected for upgradation to KISCE

Nine States and Union Territories have been selected for upgradation to Khelo India State Centre of Excellence, KISCE. 

The States and UTs include Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Goa, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Puducherry, Tripura and Jammu and Kashmir. The Sports Ministry said, the centres have been selected based on their past performances, quality of infrastructure, management and sports culture in the State.
