I. 7th Meeting of the Joint Trade Committee held between India and Myanmar
  1. The 7th Joint Trade Committee Meeting between India and Myanmar was held through virtual mode on 24th November 2020.
  2. The Meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Than Myint, Union Minister for Ministry of Commerce, Myanmar and Shri Piyush Goyal, Commerce and Industry Minister of India. During the consultations, both sides reviewed various bilateral issues ranging from trade, investment, banking, connectivity, capacity building and upgradation of border infrastructure.


II. PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate RE-Invest 2020 on 26 November
  1. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the virtual 3rd Global Renewable Energy Investment Meeting and Expo (RE-Invest 2020), on 26 November 2020 at 5:30 PM. The summit is organised by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and will be held from 26 – 28 November 2020.
  2. The theme for RE-Invest 2020 is ‘Innovations for Sustainable Energy Transition’. It will feature a 3-day conference on renewables and future energy choices, and an exhibition of manufacturers, developers, investors and innovators. 


III. Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar inaugurates Mega Food Park in Punjab
  1. Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj today virtually inaugurated Mega Food Park (MFP) at Phagwara in Kapurthala district of Punjab.
  2. This Mega Food Park is built at project cost of Rs 107.83 crores and spread over 55 acres of land. It is expected to benefit about 25000 farmers and likely to generate employment of about 5000 persons. It is equipped with Raw Material/Finished goods Warehouses (3944Sqm), Silos (20000 MT), Cold Storage (3000 MT), IQF & Deep Freezer (IQF: 2 MT/hr + Deep Freezer: 2000 MT) & other related food processing facilities.


IV. President Kovind Inaugurate The 80th All India Presiding Officers’ Conference at Kevadia
  1. The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, will visit Gujarat (Kevadia) today (November 25, 2020) to inaugurate the 80th All India Presiding Officers’ Conference. The two-day Conference is being organized by the Lok Sabha to celebrate the Constitution Day.


V. 10th edition of National Science Film Festival kicks off in a virtual mode
  1. The tenth edition of prestigious science film festival got off in a virtual mode. Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous agency under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, has been organizing this festival as a part of its science popularization endeavour.
  2. The festival offers a unique platform to showcase the science films made by professionals, amateur and student filmmakers under various themes.
  3. The four-day long film festival was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura Jishnu Dev Verma.


VI. Minister Narendra Singh Tomar unveiled Sahakar Pragya
  1. Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Rural Development, Panchayat Raj and Food Processing Industries, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar unveiled Sahakar Pragya.
  2. The 45 new training modules of Sahakar Pragya of the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) will impart training to primary cooperative societies in rural areas of the country along with Lakshmanrao Inamdar National Cooperative Research and Development Academy (Linac).
