India, World Bank Signs USD 500 Million Project to Develop Green, Resilient and Safe Highways in India: Highlights with Details
The Government of India and the World Bank signed a $500 million project to build safe and green national highway corridors in the states of Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. The project will also enhance the capacity of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) in mainstreaming safety and green technologies.
The MoU Signed by - India, World Bank Signs USD 500 Million Project
The agreement was signed by Dr Mohapatra on behalf of the Government of India and Ms Sumila Gulyani, Acting Country Director, India on behalf of the World Bank.

The Green National Highways Corridors Project will support MoRTH construct 783 km of highways in various geographies by integrating safe and green technology designs such as local and marginal materials, industrial byproducts, and other bioengineering solutions. Indian Army signs MoU with Bank of Baroda for new Baroda Military Salary Package: Quick Highlights
Indian Army and Bank of Baroda have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 'Baroda Military Salary Package'. The MoU lays down the basis on which banking services would be provided by Bank of Baroda to serving and retired personnel of Indian Army.

Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju virtually inaugurates 8 Khelo India State Centres of Excellence
Union Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs Shri Kiren Rijiju virtually inaugurated 8 Khelo India State Centres of Excellence (KISCEs) across India in the presence of distinguished State Sports Ministers on Tuesday. The 8 States include: Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Kerala, Telangana, Nagaland, Karnataka and Odisha.
The Sports Ministry had identified sports facilities in these 8 states to be upgraded to the Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KISCE). The centres identified are:
- Nagaland- State Sports Academy, IG Stadium Kohima
- Manipur - Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Imphal
- Arunachal Pradesh - Sangey Lhaden Sports Academy, Chimpu Itanagar
- Mizoram - Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Aizawl
- Odisha - Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneshwar
- Telangana - Regional Sports School Hakimpet
- Karnataka - Sh. Jayaprakash Narayan National Youth Centre Bangalore

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh held a telephonic conversation with the Minister of Defence of Japan, Kishi Nobuo.

About Visva-Bharati University
Founded by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore in 1921, Visva-Bharati is also the oldest Central University in the country. In May 1951, Visva-Bharati was declared to be a Central University and "an Institution of National Importance" by an Act of Parliament. The University followed the pedagogy devised by Gurudev Tagore, though gradually it evolved in the format in which modern Universities developed elsewhere. The Prime Minister is the Chancellor of the University.
APEDA organizes virtual Buyer Seller Meeting with Thailand for expanding exports of agricultural
APEDA organized a Virtual Buyer Seller Meet (BSM), in association with Indian Embassy in Thailand, on 21st December 2020. The meet brought together key stakeholders from the respective Governments and trade on a common platform for strengthening strategic cooperation between India and Thailand in Agri Food Sector.
This Virtual-BSM with Thailand is the 13th in the series of such events organized by APEDA with various countries. Earlier such Virtual-BSM were organized with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Indonesia, Switzerland, Belgium, Iran, South Africa, Germany, the United States, Canada and Australia.
During the Virtual-BSM, presentations were made by of Trade Associations from India on potential product for exports to Thailand such as grapes, pomegranate, vegetable, Dairy Products and other Ready to Eat products. The Thailand Trade Associations and importers explained their requirement or standards for agri imports from India.
