1. Indian Panorama announces official selection for 51st International Film Festival of India, 2020
  • The 51st International Film Festival of India announces the selection of Indian Panorama films for the year 2020. The selected films will be showcased on the big screen for all the registered delegates and representatives from the selected films, during the 8 days film festival in Goa, from 16th-24th January 2021.
  • Selected from a wide pool of 183 contemporary Indian Films, the collection of films reflects the vibrancy and diversity of Indian film Industry.   • Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid foundation of 33 NH projects in Karnataka through virtual mode. These projects include 1197 kms long roads worth Rs 10,904 crore.
  • These projects for inauguration and foundation laying carry a Road length of nearly 1200 kilometers, involving construction value of nearly Rs. 11,000 crore. Paving the way for development of Karnataka, these roads will enhance better connectivity, convenience and economic growth in the State.

  • Ministry of Tourism, Government of India organised the domestic tourism road show in Goa through its Indis Tourism office in Goa . This event was organised in collaboration with Goa Tourism and Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG).

  • Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Shri Arjun Munda inaugurated Two Tribes India showrooms (Kolkata in person and Gwalior virtually).
  • Both the outlets located in fairly prestigious areas, are the second Tribes India showrooms in their respective cities. With the inclusion of these two outlets, from a single flagship store at 9 Mahadeo Road, New Delhi in 1999, TRIBES INDIA now has 125 retail outlets across India.

  • Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh inaugurated the advanced Hypersonic Wind Tunnel test facility in Hyderabad. The state-of-the-art facility is pressure vaccum driven enclosed free jet facility with nozzle exit of one-meter diameter.
  • According to a defence release, this will simulate Mach 5 to 12. Mach represent the multiplication factor to the speed of sound, making India the third country after the US and Russia to have such a facility.
