Govt notifies draft rules for setting up Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF): Highlights with Details  

Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has notified draft rules for setting up Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF)The rules lay down the procedure for setting up, authorization and operation of RVSF.

These RVSFs shall be provided access to the VAHAN database and shall be authorized to make entries regarding scrapping of the vehicle and issuance of Scrapping Certificate.

Other access to NCRB and police database will also be provided for verification of stolen vehicle or vehicle involved in criminal activity, before scrapping a vehicle. The rules specify the technical requirements and procedure to be followed by any legal entity for setting up RVSF. Government will develop a portal for single window clearance, on which the applicant will apply with documents and fee. State and UT governments would clear the proposal in a time-bound manner within 60 days.....Read More

NTPC conferred ‘Role Model’ award at 11th CII National HR Excellence Award 2020-21  

NTPC Ltd , a Public Sector Undertaking under Ministry of Power has been conferred the prestigious ‘Role Model’ Award at the 11th CII National HR Excellence Award 2020-21.

This award is the highest level of recognition in the field of Human Resources by Confederation of Indian Industry. Since the institutionalization of CII National HR Excellence Award, this is only the second time when the award of Role Model has been conferred to any organization. NTPC is the only PSU to have received this prestigious award.

Tourism Ministry hold ten-day event “1000 BAR DEKHO- NORTH EAST DEKHO” under the tag line of “DEHKO APNA DESH” and “FIT INDIA”

The Ministry of Tourism places special emphasis on the development and promotion of tourism in the North Eastern Region (NER). The Ministry carries out regular promotional campaigns and events to showcase the unique tourism products and sights of this beautiful region to the potential travellers under DekhoApnaDesh initiative. The Tourism Ministry has launched campaigns to promote tourism to the North Eastern Region on various platforms in Digital, Print and Social Media.

Since April 2020, under DekhoApnaDesh campaign, the Ministry of Tourism is conducting webinars on various tourism products including NER and some of the webinars were dedicated to North East Region. The Ministry has also been organising International Tourism Mart (ITM)which is an annual event organised in the North Eastern region with the objective of highlighting the tourism potential of the region in the domestic and international Market. Since the year 2013, so far, a total of 8 Editions of ITMs have been held in various states of the North Eastern Region.

In this backdrop, Indiatourism, Guwahati (field office of Ministry of Tourism) organised an event “1000 BAR DEKHO- NORTH EAST DEKHO” under the tag line of “DEHKO APNA DESH” and “FIT INDIA” which was launched on 7th March 2021and concluded today. As part of this activity Shri Sanjay Bahadur a solo cyclist covered 1000 kms. by cycling all across the Assam state.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bangladesh on 26 - 27 March 2021  

At the invitation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be visiting Bangladesh on March 26 & 27, 2021.

This visit is in connection with the commemoration of three epochal events - Mujib Borsho, the birth centenary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman; 50 years of the establishment of diplomatic ties between India and Bangladesh; and 50 years of Bangladesh’s war of liberation. Prime Minister had last visited Bangladesh in 2015.

During the visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the National Day programme of Bangladesh on March 26, as the guest of honour.
