28th Hunar Haat being organised at Kala Academy, Panaji (Goa): The 28th “Hunar Haat” of indigenous products of artisans and craftsmen is being organised at Kala Academy, Campal, Panaji (Goa) from today 26th March to 04th April.

Union Minister for Minority Affairs Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that “Hunar Haat” is a “Perfect, Popular and Proud Platform” for indigenous artistry and crafts of the country.

Harsh Vardhan launches Tribal TB Initiative in pursuit of ‘TB Mukt Bharat’  

Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan launched the “Tribal TB Initiative”. A Guidance Note on Joint Action Plan for Tuberculosis (TB) Elimination, a Special Edition of Tribal Ministry’s Publication ‘ALEKH’ on TB, and a document on Tribal Tuberculosis (TB) Initiative was also released at the event.

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and his South Korean counterpart hold bilateral talks to strengthen defence partnership  

Raksha Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of Defence of Republic of Korea Suh Wook held bilateral talks on defence cooperation in New Delhi. 

During the meeting, they also exchanged views on the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the defence and security engagements as well as best practices followed by the Armed Forces of both nations.


Prime Minister Modi Visits National Martyrs’ Memorial, Bangladesh  

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, soon after his arrival on a two day visit to Bangladesh visited the National Martyrs’ Memorial (JatiyoSritiShoudho), the National monument of Bangladesh to pay tributes to the valour and the sacrifice of those who gave their lives in the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971. The monument is located in Savar, about 35 km north-west of Dhaka and was designed by Syed Mainul Hossain.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also planted sapling of Arjun tree at the memorial premises and signed the visitor’s book in the monument. He wrote - "I pray that the eternal flame at Savar remains a lasting reminder of the noble victory of truth and courage over deceit and oppression.”

President Kovind appoints 7 Additional Judges as Judges of Allahabad High Court: The President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind in exercise of the power conferred by clause (I) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, appointed Shri Mohd. Aslam, Anil Kumar Ojha, Smt. Sadhna Rani (Thakur), Naveen Srivastava, Syed Aftab Husain Rizvi, Ajai Tyagi, and Ajai Kumar Srivastava-l, to be an Additional Judges of the Allahabad High Court. 

A notification in this regard was issued by Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice on 22 March, 2021.

The notification mentioned that the appointment of Smt. Sadhna Rani (Thakur), S/Shri Syed Aftab Husain Rizvi, and Ajai Kumar Srivastava-l, would be for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices........Read More

ISSF World Cup 2021: Indian team wins gold in 50 meter rifle Men’s Team event in New Delhi

Indian trio of Niraj Kumar, Swapnil Kusale and Chain Singh today won the Gold medal in 50 meter rifle 3 positions Men’s Team event at the ISSF World Cup in Delhi. The Indian team comfortably defeated the Unites States 47-25 in the final.
