• Government has decided to appoint Air Marshal V R Chaudhari, PVSM, AVSM, VM, presently Vice Chief of Air Staff, as the next Chief of the Indian Air Staff after the retirement of Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, PVSM, AVSM, VM, ADC on 30th September, 2021.

2. Two more Indian Beaches get coveted International Blue Flag Certification; India now has 10 Blue Flag beaches

• India's two new beaches - Kovalam in Tamil Nadu and Eden in Puducherry - have been awarded the globally recognized and prestigious International Eco-Label 'Blue Flag' certification.

3. Govt extends deadline for linking PAN and Aadhaar till March 2022

• Government has extended the deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar by six months till March next year. Earlier this deadline was 30th of September 2021.

4. India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 81.85 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 97.75%

• With the administration of 96,46,778 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 81.85 Cr (81,85,13,827) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
• Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.75%. 26,115 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
