1. Govt. increases Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for Rabi crops
  • The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the increase in the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for all mandated Rabi crops for Rabi Marketing Season (RMS) 2022-23.
  • The highest absolute increase in MSP over the previous year has been recommended for Lentil (Masur) and Rapeseeds & Mustard (Rs.400 per quintal each) followed by gram (Rs.130 per quintal).


2. Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2021 to be launched on 9th September, 2021
  • Swachh Survekshan Grameen, 2021 will be launched under the Swachh Bharat Mission Phase- 2 today i.e. on 9th September, 2021. 
  • Swachh Survekshan Grameen aims to support acceleration of ODF plus interventions and results in the country. An expert agency has been hired to conduct the Survekshan 2021. As part of the Survekshan, Villages, Districts and States would be ranked using key parameters.


3. Government has approved Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the PLI Scheme for Textiles for MMF Apparel, MMF Fabrics and 10 segments/ products of Technical Textiles with a budgetary outlay of Rs. 10,683 crore.


4. Cabinet approves Agreement on the recruitment of Indian citizens to work in the Portuguese between India and Portugal
  • The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the signing of an agreement on the recruitment of Indian citizens to work in the Portuguese Republic between the Government of the Republic of India and the Government of Republic of Portugal.


5. Cabinet approves MoU between The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and The Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CAAR)
  • The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the signing Memorandum of Understanding between The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) & The Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CAAR).


6. Cabinet approves the MoU on cooperation in field of Geosciences between the Joint Stock Company Rosgeologia, Russia and the Geological Survey of India (GSI)
  • The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of Geosciences between the Joint Stock Company Rosgeologia (State holding Company) (referred to as ROSGEO), a legal entity incorporated under the laws of the Russian Federation and the Geological Survey of India (GSI), Ministry of Mines, Government of India.


7. India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 70.75 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 97.48%
  • With the administration of 78,47,625vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the country's COVID-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the cumulative figure of 70.75 Cr (70,75,43,018) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. 
  • Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.48%. 37,875new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
