1. J&K and Government of Dubai signs MoU for Real Estate development, industrial parks, super specialty hospitals
  • Jammu and Kashmir administration today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Dubai for real estate development, industrial parks, IT towers, multipurpose towers, logistics, medical college, super specialty hospital and more.
  • This MoU gives out a strong signal to the entire world that the way India is transforming into a global power, Jammu & Kashmir is having a significant role in that as well.


2. PM Modi to visit UP on October 20 and inaugurate Kushinagar International Airport
  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Uttar Pradesh on 20th October, 2021. At around 10 AM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Kushinagar International Airport. Subsequently, at around 11:30 AM, he will participate in an event marking Abhidhamma Day at Mahaparinirvana Temple. 
  • Thereafter, at around 1:15 PM, the Prime Minister will attend a public function to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects in Kushinagar.


3. UIDAI to host “Aadhaar Hackathon 2021” from 28th October to 31st October
  • UIDAI is hosting a Hackathon titled “Aadhaar Hackathon 2021” targeted at young innovators - who are still at various Engineering institutes and eager to step into the real world. The hackathon is starting on 28 to 31 Oct 21.
  • Aadhaar Hackathon 2021 is themed around two topics. The first theme is around “Enrolment and Update”, which essentially covers some of the real-life challenges being faced by the residents while updating their address.


4. PM Modi to interact with CEOs and Experts of Global Oil and Gas Sector on 20th October
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with CEOs and Experts of the Global Oil and Gas Sector on 20th October, 2021 at 6 PM via video conferencing. 
  • This is the sixth such annual interaction which began in 2016 and marks the participation of global leaders in the oil and gas sector, who deliberate upon key issues of the sector and explore potential areas of collaboration and investment with India.


5. Prime Minister Modi to attend Abhidhamma Day programme tomorrow at Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh
  • The Union Ministry of Culture, International Buddhist Confederation in association with Government of Uttar Pradesh is organising the Abhidhamma Day on 20th October 2021 at Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh on the auspicious occasion of Ashwin Poornima. 
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will grace the event in the presence of eminent monks from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar, South Korea, Nepal, Bhutan, Cambodia and Ambassadors of various countries.


6. India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 98.67 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.14%
  • With the administration of 87,41,160 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 98.67 Cr (98,67,69,411) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
  • Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.14%. Recovery Rate is currently at its highest peak since March 2020. 13,058 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. Daily New cases reported to be lowest in 231 days now.
