1. Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD) 2021 from 27 to 29 October

The Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD) 2021 will be held from 27 to 29 October. The Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD) is the apex international annual conference of the Indian Navy, and is the principal manifestation of the navy’s engagement at the strategic-level.
The aim of each successive edition of the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD) is to review both opportunities and challenges that arise within the Indo-Pacific.

2. Envoys of Four Nations Present Credentials to President Ram Nath Kovind

The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, accepted credentials from Ambassadors of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Republic of Slovenia, Israel and the Arab Republic of Egypt in Ashok Hall, Rashtrapati Bhavan today (October 26, 2021). On completion of the harbour planning phase, the sea phase of the exercise commenced on October 24, 2021. It will continue till October 27, 2021.

5. PM Modi launches PM Ayushman Bharat Infrastructure Mission

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the PM Ayushman Bharat Infrastructure Mission from Varanasi with a total outlay of 64,180 crore rupees.
According to PM Modi, the PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission aims to strengthen the critical healthcare network from village to block to the district to the regional and national level in the next four-five years.

6. Sports facilities in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Tamil Nadu upgraded as Khelo India State Center of Excellence

The Sports Ministry has upgraded three new existing sports facilities across the country as Khelo India Sports Centres of Excellence (KISCE).
The Guru Gobind Singh Sports College in Lucknow, the Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi and the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai are designated as KISCEs; the total number of KISCEs now standing at 27 across 26 States and Union Territories.

7. Jyotiraditya Scindia virtually flags off first direct flight on Shillong-Dibrugarh route under UDAN

Union Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya M. Scindia virtually flagged off the first direct flight on the Shillong – Dibrugarh route under the Regional Connectivity Scheme – UdeDeshKaAamNaagrik (RCS-UDAN) of the Government of India.
Due to the non-availability of any direct mode of transportation, people were compelled to cover a long 12-hour journey by road & train to travel between Shillong & Dibrugarh. Now, natives can easily fly between the two cities by opting for a flight of just 75 mins.

Union Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will inaugurate the Incubation Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (AIIA- iCAINE) at All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), on 29th Oct 2021 at a program organized in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
A national seminar on "Start-ups in Ayush Sector- Scope and Opportunities (AYUR-UDYAMAH)” is also being organized on 30th October as a part of the program.

9. CCI approves acquisition by HDFC Bank of shareholding in HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) approves acquisition by HDFC Bank Limited (Acquirer) of shareholding in HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Limited (Target) under Section 31(1) of the Competition Act, 2002.
The Proposed Combination involves acquisition of 4.99% of the outstanding equity share capital of the Target by the Acquirer from Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC).

10. India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 102.94 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.19%

With the administration of 64,75,733 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 102.94 Cr (1,02,94,01,119) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
The recovery of15,951 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,35,83,318.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.19%. Recovery Rate is currently at its highest peak since March 2020. 12,428 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. This is the lowest in 238 days.
