PM Narendra Modi transfer the first instalment of PMAY-G to Tripura   

Prime Minister Narendra Modi transfer the first instalment of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G) to more than 1.47 lakh beneficiaries of Tripura on 14th November, 2021 via video conferencing. More than Rs 700 crore will be credited directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries on the occasion.

Following Prime Minister’s intervention, taking in to account unique geo-climatic condition of Tripura, the definition of ‘kuccha’ house has been changed specifically for the state, which has enabled such a large number of beneficiaries living in ‘kuccha’ houses to get assistance to construct a ‘pucca’ house.


Minister Kiren Rijiju launches Citizens’ Tele-Law Mobile App  

Union Minister of Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju launched the Citizen’s Tele-Law Mobile App. The Citizens’ Tele-Law Mobile App intends to widen the access to increased legal information and empowers the masses to identify their problem and chose from appropriate forum of dispute redressal to claim their entitlements and rights by connecting the beneficiary directly to the Panel Lawyer or with an assistance of Para Legal Volunteers, Village Level entrepreneurs, in case of beneficiary who are unable to read or write. 

The consultation is available free of cost to those entitled for free legal aid under Section 12 of Legal Service Authority, whereas Others could avail at Rs 30/ per consultation.


MoHUA to launch awareness campaign on SafaiMitra Suraksha Challenge  

As part of the ‘World toilet Day’ celebrations, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development is launching a week long awareness campaign on SafaiMitra Suraksha Challenge (SSC) from November 14th to 20th November 2021 to run up to the ‘Swachh Amrit Diwas’, an award ceremony to recognize the role and efforts of the states, cities, ULBs and Cantonment Board in Swachh Survekshan 2021, and Garbage Free Star Rating certification on 20th November, 2021.

A total of 246 cities are participating in SafaiMitra Suraksha Challenge (SSC) which is being conducted across the country. Through this challenge it is aimed to encourage cities to mechanise their sewer and septic tank cleaning operations in order to prevent deaths and fatalities of sanitation workers from ‘hazardous entry’. 

Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) launched the Safaimitra Suraksha Challenge (SSC) on the occasion of World Toilet Day (19th November 2020) with the objective of eradicating the practice of hazardous cleaning of sewers and septic tanks and promote mechanized cleaning of the same. On the launch of Swachh Surveskhan 2022, MoHUA also flagged off the field assessments for the SSC.

As per the timelines for the Challenge it was launched with toolkit on 19th November 2020 and the preparatory period for it was from 20th Nov 2020 to 30th Sep 2021 and the evaluation was done in October 2021.


India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 112.01 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.26%

With the administration of 57,43,840 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 112.01 Cr (1,12,01,03,225) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

The recovery of 11,376 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,38,37,859.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.26%. 11,271 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

The Active Caseload is presently at 1,35,918 is lowest in 522 days. Active cases presently constitute 0.39% of the country's total Positive Cases, which is lowest since March 2020.

The Weekly Positivity Rate at 1.01% remains less than 2% for the last 51 days now. The Daily Positivity rate reported to be 0.90%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 41 days and below 3% for 76 consecutive days now.
