1. PM Modi to launch two innovative customer centric initiatives of RBI on 12 November
  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will launch two innovative customer centric initiatives of the Reserve Bank of India on 12 November, 2021 via video conferencing. These initiatives are the RBI Retail Direct Scheme and the Reserve Bank - Integrated Ombudsman Scheme.
  • The RBI Retail Direct Scheme is aimed at enhancing access to the government securities market for retail investors. It offers them a new avenue for directly investing in securities issued by the Government of India and the State Governments.


2. India Post Payments Bank, Department of Posts in Strategic Alliance with Bajaj Allianz for Term and Annuity Products
  • India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), Department of Posts and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company (BALIC) announced a strategic partnership for offering term and annuity products to customers through the Bank’s extensive network of 650 branches and over 136,000 banking access points. 
  • The tie-up will enable customers, particularly from weaker sections and living in unbanked and underserved areas, to become financially secure and empowered, and is in line with IPPB’s objective of offering value added products and services to its customers.


3. Govt allots license and spectrum to Vodafone Idea and Reliance Jio for 5G testing in Gujarat
  • The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) Government of India allocated license and spectrum to Vodafone Idea Limited and Reliance Jio Infocomm for 5G testing in Gujarat.


4. 32nd edition of “Hunar Haat” to be held in Lucknow from 12 to 21 Nov 2021
  • Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya will inaugurate the 32nd edition of “Hunar Haat”, “Perfect Platform” to“promote and preserve” traditional art and craft of the country, in Lucknow on November 12, 2021.


5. Jyotiraditya Scindia launches GCA (e-Governance in Directorate General of Civil Aviation)
  • Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minster of Civil Aviation today dedicated eGCA, the e-governance platform in Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to the nation.
  • The project has been aimed at automation of the processes and functions of DGCA, with 99 services covering about 70% of the DGCA work being implemented in the initial phases, and 198 services to be covered in other phases.


6. Nepal to establish its own National Defence University on the lines of NDC: Nepal Army Chief
  • Army Chief of Nepal General Prabhu Ram Sharma who has been conferred with the Honorary rank of ‘General’ of the Indian Army unveiled his portrait on the ‘Wall of Honour’ and was presented with the ‘Scroll of Honour on November 11, 2021 at National Defence College (NDC) in New Delhi.


7. India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage crosses the landmark of 110 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.25%
  • With the administration of 57,54,817 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed the landmark of 110 Cr (1,10,23,34,225) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
  • The recovery of 13,878 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,38,00,925.
  • Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.25%. 13,091 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
