1. India, World Bank sign $250 million loan agreement to improve quality of learning 50 lakh students across Andhra Pradesh
  • The Government of India, Government of Andhra Pradesh and the World Bank signed the legal agreements for $250 million for a project which aims to improve quality of learning for over 50 lakh students in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Students from all grades and stages of school education will benefit from the project. The beneficiaries are about 40 lakh students (between the age of six and fourteen) in over 45,000 government schools, and over 10 lakh children (between the age of three and six) enrolled in Anganwadis (Integrated Child Development Centers), and about 1,90,000 teachers, and more than 50,000 Anganwadi workers.


2. India release 5 million barrels of crude oil from its Strategic Petroleum Reserves
  • India has agreed to release 5 million barrels of crude oil from its Strategic Petroleum Reserves. This release will happen in parallel and in consultation with other major global energy consumers including the USA, People’s Republic of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
  • India strongly believes that the pricing of liquid hydrocarbons should be reasonable, responsible and be determined by market forces. India has repeatedly expressed concern at supply of oil being artificially adjusted below demand levels by oil producing countries, leading to rising prices and negative attendant consequences.


3. Nitin Gadkari lay Foundation Stone for 25 National Highway Projects in Jammu
  • Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari lay Foundation Stone for 25 National Highway Projects of Total Length 257 Km with an Investment of Rs1 1 ,721 Crores in Jammu.
  • These projects will provide all weather connectivity between Jammu and Kashmir valley. These are strategically important for swift movement of defence forces along with agricultural, industrial and socio-economic progress of the region.

  • The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind will visit Uttar Pradesh (Kanpur) from November 24 to 25, 2021.
  • On November 24, 2021, the President will grace and address the birth centenary celebrations of Chaudhary Harmohan Singh Yadav.
  • On November 25, 2021, the President will grace and address the centenary celebrations of Harcourt Butler Technical University.


5. PM Narendra Modi to lay foundation stone of Noida International Airport
  • Uttar Pradesh is poised to become the only state in India to have five international airports, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh on 25 November, 2021.
  • This airport will be the second international airport to come up in Delhi NCR. It will help decongest the IGI Airport. It is strategically located and will serve the people of cities including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Agra, Faridabad and neighbouring areas.


6. 37th edition of India - Indonesia Coordinated Patrol 2021
  • Indian Naval Ship (INS) Khanjar, an indigenously built Missile Corvette along with Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft is undertaking coordinated patrol (CORPAT) with Indonesian Naval Ship KRI Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin, (376), a Kapitan Patimura-Class Corvette, from 23 to 24 Nov 21.
  • The 37th edition of CORPAT between India and Indonesia will also witness participation of Maritime Patrol Aircraft from both Nations.


7. Defence Acquisition Council headed by Rajnath Singh approves proposal of value Rs. 2,236 Cr
  • The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) in its meeting of 23 November 2021 held under the Chairmanship of Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for one Capital Acquisition proposal of Indian Air Force for its modernization and operational needs amounting to Rs. 2,236 Cr. under the category of ‘Make in India’.


8. India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 118.44 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.33%
  • With the administration of 76,58,203 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 118.44 Cr (1,18,44,23,573) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
  • The recovery of 10,949 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,39,57,698.
  • Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.33%. 9,283 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
