1. PM Modi to participate in Constitution Day celebrations on 26th November
- The nation will celebrate Constitution Day on 26 November to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India by the Constituent Assembly in 1949.
- The observation of Constitution Day started in 2015, based on the vision of the Prime Minister to give due recognition to the significance of this historic date.
- As a part of Constitution Day celebrations this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the programmes being organised in Parliament and Vigyan Bhawan on 26th November, 2021.
2. India, ADB sign $300 million loan agreement to improve primary health care in India
- The Government of India and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a $300 million loan agreement to strengthen and improve access to comprehensive primary health care in urban areas of 13 states that will benefit over 256 million urban dwellers including 51 million from slum areas.
3. Cabinet approves bill to repeal three contentious farm laws 2021
- The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a bill to repeal the three farm laws, announced Union minister Anurag Thakur.
- Farmers across the country have been protesting systematically on the Delhi borders for the last one year, due to which the Modi government had to finally withdraw 3 agricultural bills after giving up.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the government's intention to withdraw the laws in the interest of the nation on the occasion of Gurpurab on 19th Nov 2021.
4. Cabinet approves extension of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana (PMGKAY) for another four months (December 2021-March 2022)
- The Union Cabinet has approved the extension for the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY-Phase V) for a period of another 4 months i.e. December 2021 till March 2022 @ 5 kg per person per month free of cost for all the beneficiaries covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) [Antodaya Anna Yojana & Priority Households] including those covered under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
5. Cabinet approves Privatization of Electricity Distribution and Retail Supply Business in UT Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu
- The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the formation of Company (Special Purpose Vehicle) to privatize the electricity distribution business in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (DNH&DD), sale of Equity Shares of the newly formed Company to highest bidder and formation of Trust(s) for serving employees’ liabilities.
6. Cabinet approves continuation of National Apprenticeship Training Scheme for next five years
- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accorded its approval for stipendiary support of Rs. 3,054 crore to apprentices who undergo apprenticeship training under National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) of Ministry of Education for the period from 2021-22 to 2025-26 (upto 31-03-2026).

- India and the United States held the 12th Ministerial-level meeting of the India-United States Trade Policy Forum (TPF) in New Delhi on 23rd Nov 2021.
- India and the United States reaffirmed their commitment to take the economic relationship between the two countries to the next high level.

- Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced the introduction of Bharat Gaurav. It will be run, by both private sectors and IRCTC, in theme-based circuits.
9. PM Narendra Modi lay foundation stone of Noida International Airport
- Uttar Pradesh is poised to become the only state in India to have five international airports, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay the foundation stone of the Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
- This airport will be the second international airport to come up in Delhi NCR. It will help decongest the IGI Airport. It is strategically located and will serve the people of cities including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Agra, Faridabad and neighbouring areas.
10. India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 119.38 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.33%
- With the administration of 90,27,638 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 119.38 Cr (1,19,38,44,741) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
- The recovery of 10,264 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,39,67,962.
- Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.33%. 9,119 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
