3rd round of India-UAE CEPA negotiations to be held in New Delhi from 06-10 Dec 2021    

The third round of India-UAE CEPA negotiations are scheduled to be held in New Delhi on 06-10 December 2021 wherein both sides aim to conclude the negotiations.

IREDA and THDCIL sign MoU for Green Energy collaborations 

To provide its techno-financial expertise in developing Renewable Energy projects, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with THDC India Ltd (THDCIL).

Under the MoU, IREDA will undertake Techno-Financial due diligence of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency &Conservation projects for THDCIL. IREDA will assist THDCIL in developing an action plan to create and acquire Renewable Energy projects for the next 5 years. 

IREDA will also extend its techno-commercial expertise to THDCIL for Environmental & Social (E&S) due diligence of RE projects as per the internationally accepted E&S standards.


2-day Regional Conference on ‘Replication of Good Governance Practices’ inaugurated in Bhubaneswar   

A two day Regional Conference on the theme “Replication of Good Governance Practices” jointly organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and Government of Odisha has been inaugurated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

This Regional Conference has a positive role to play in good governance. The objective of the conference is to know how to replicate best practices and innovation in governance and most importantly make it sustainable.”


ONGC inks MoU with SECI to develop green renewable projects  

To realize its green energy objectives, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI)

The MoU provides a broad, overarching framework for ONGC and SECI to collaborate and cooperate for undertaking renewable energy projects including solar, wind, solar parks, EV value chain, green hydrogen, storage, etc.

ONGC, India’s leading oil & gas company, has been pursuing green energy agenda through various alternatives and renewable sources of energy. It has set a target of producing a minimum of 10 GW of renewable power by 2040 while continuing its focus on the core E&P business.


Drinking water supply schemes of Rs. 267.66 Crore approved under Jal Jeevan Mission in Uttarakhand  

Drinking water supply schemes of Rs 267.66 Crore were approved under Jal Jeevan Mission in Uttarakhand in the State-level scheme sanctioning committee (SLSSC) meeting held on 2nd December, 2021. All 13 water supply schemes sanctioned are multi-village schemes. It will provide tap water connection to more than 23,000 rural households.

PM Modi inaugurates development projects worth over Rs 9600 crore in Gorakhpur   

Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gorakhpur and dedicate to the nation development projects worth over Rs 9600 crore on 7th December, 2021.

Prime Minister Modi will dedicate to the nation the Gorakhpur Fertilizer Plant, whose foundation stone was laid by him on 22nd July, 2016.

Prime Minister Modi will also dedicate to the nation the fully functional complex of AIIMS, Gorakhpur which has been built at a cost of over Rs 1,000 crore. The foundation stone for the complex was laid by the Prime Minister on 22nd July, 2016. It has been established under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna, through which institutes are being set up as per the vision of the Prime Minister to correct regional imbalances in availability of quality tertiary level healthcare. The facilities at AIIMS, Gorakhpur include a 750 bed hospital, Medical college, Nursing college, AYUSH Building, residential accommodation for all staff, hostel accommodation for UG and PG students etc.

Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the new building of ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), Gorakhpur. The Centre has been instrumental in tackling the challenge of Japanese encephalitis /Acute Encephalitis Syndrome in the region.


India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 126.53 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.35%

With the administration of 73,63,706 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 126.53 Cr (1,26,53,44,975) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

The recovery of 8,190 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,40,53,856.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.35%. 8,603 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

India’s Active Caseload presently stands at 99,974. Active cases constitute 0.29% of the country's total Positive Cases, which is lowest since March 2020.

The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.81% remains less than 1% for the last 20 days now. The Daily Positivity rate reported to be 0.69%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 61 days and below 3% for 96 consecutive days now.
