11th edition of Indo-Maldives Joint Training Exercise 'EX EKUVERIN' 2021  

11th Edition of Exercise EKUVERIN between India & Maldives will be conducted at Kadhdhoo Island, Maldives from 06 to 19 December 2021.

Exercise 'EX EKUVERIN' Aims

The Exercise EKUVERIN will enhance synergy & inter-operability between Armed Forces of both the Nations in terms of understanding transnational terrorism both on land & at sea, conducting Counter Terrorism & Counter Insurgency Operations and sharing best military practices and experiences.

Key Highlights

Besides rigorous training, the joint military excercise will also include cultural and sports activities to enhance defence cooperation and bilateral relations. The exercise will go a long way in strengthening India’s relations with Maldives amidst emerging security dynamics in the Indian Ocean Region.


President Ram Nath Kovind visit Maharashtra from December 6 to 9 

The President of India Ram Nath Kovind will visit Maharashtra from December 6 to 9, 2021. On December 6, 2021, the President Kovind will visit Raigad Fort and pay tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

On December 7, 2021, the President Kovind will visit Air Force Station, Lohegaon, Pune where he will witness flying displays and interact with Air Warriors. On December 8, 2021, President Kovind will present the President's Standard to the 22nd Missile Vessel Squadron in Mumbai.


AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurates 50 Bed Integrated Ayush Hospital in Moreh, Manipur  

Union Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated a 50 Bed Integrated Ayush Hospital in Moreh, Manipur through virtual medium and announced major initiatives for the development and promotion of AYUSH industry in Manipur.

According to Sarbananda Sonowal the Ayush Ministry has decided to develop 15 AYUSH dispensaries, seven 10 Bed Hospitals, 100 School Herbal Gardens, 16 Nursery in each district and 50 Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs) in the state.


More than 3 crore Income Tax Returns filed on new e-Filing portal of Income Tax Department  

More than 3 crore Income Tax Returns have now been filed on the new e-Filing portal of the Income Tax Department as on 3rd December 2021. The number of ITRs filed per day is over 4 lakh and increasing everyday as the extended due date of 31st December 2021 is approaching.

Income Tax Return (ITR) filing has increased to 3.03 crore ITRs for AY 2021-22. 58.98% of these are ITR1 (1.78 crore), 8% is ITR2 (24.42 lakh), 8.7% is ITR3 (26.58 lakh), 23.12% are ITR4 (70.07 lakh), ITR5 (2.14 lakh), ITR6 (0.91 lakh) and ITR7 (0.15 lakh). Over 52% of these ITRs are filed using the online ITR form on the portal and the balance are uploaded using the ITR created from the offline software utilities.


India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 127.93 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.35%

With the administration of 24,55,911 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 127.93 Cr (1,27,93,09,669) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

The recovery of 8,834 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,40,69,608.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.35%. 8,306 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

India’s Active Caseload presently stands at 98,416. Active cases constitute 0.28% of the country's total Positive Cases, which is lowest since March 2020.

The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.78% remains less than 1% for the last 22 days now. The Daily Positivity rate reported to be 0.94%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for the last 63 days and below 3% for 98 consecutive days now.
