1. DRDO successfully test-fires advance version of nuclear capable 'Agni P' missile

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully tested the new generation nuclear capable ballistic missile ‘Agni P’ from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam island off the coast of Odisha at on December 18, 2021. The missile followed text book trajectory meeting all mission objectives with high level of accuracy.
The Agni P is a two-stage canisterised solid propellant ballistic missile with dual redundant navigation and guidance system. This second flight-test has proven the reliable performance of all the advanced technologies integrated into the system.

2. 3rd India-Central Asia Dialogue held in New Delhi

Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will attend the 3rd India-Central Asia Dialogue in New Delhi today.
Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov arrived in New Delhi yesterday to attend the 3rd India-Central Asia Dialogue.

President Ramnath Kovind will arrive in Kerala on the 21st of this month on a four-day visit.
The President will attend the fifth convocation ceremony of Central University of Kerala, Kasargod on 21st. On the 22nd, Mr Kovind will be attending various events at the Kochi Naval Base.

India has registered the highest ever annual Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflow of $81.97 billion in the financial year 2020-21.
According to the government, the top five countries from where FDI Equity Inflows were received during 2014 to 2021 are Singapore, Mauritius, USA, Netherlands and Japan.

6. National Cadet Corps sign MoU with Highways Authority of India to reuse plastic waste

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to reuse plastic wastes collected by NCC Cadets during Puneet Sagar Abhiyan and other Swachhta activities for construction of roads by NHAI throughout the country.
The aim of the Campaign is to propagate the message of ‘Importance of clean seashores/beaches’ amongst the local population and future generations.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed that Russia will participate in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

India will host Women's Under-18 and Under-19 SAFF championships in 2022. While the SAFF Under-18 Women's Championship will be held from March 3 to 14, the SAFF Under-19 Championship will be held from July 25 to August 3.

10. India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 137.46 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.38%

With the administration of 76,54,466 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 137.46 Cr (1,37,46,13,252) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
The recovery of 7,469 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,41,78,940.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.38%, highest since March 2020. 7,081 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
