COVID-19 Vaccination of children between 15 to 18 years begins today      

COVID-19 vaccination for children in the age group of 15 to 18 years begins across the country from today (3rd January 2022). The vaccine option for children is only Covaxin for less than 18 years.

According to the Union Health Ministry, all those whose birth year is 2004 or before, will be eligible for all vaccines including COVISHIELD. For 15 to 17 years, born in 2005 to 2007 eligible only for Covaxin.

Before this Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation on 25th December 2021, announced the vaccination for the age group of 15 to 18 years is scheduled to begin from 3rd January 2022..........Read More


PM Modi to visit Manipur and Tripura on 4th January 2022 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the states of Manipur and Tripura on 4th January, 2022. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 22 Developmental Projects worth over Rs. 4800 crore in Imphal. Thereafter, at around 2 PM, in Agartala, he will inaugurate the New Integrated Terminal Building at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport and will also launch two key development initiatives.

In Manipur, PM Modi will inaugurate 13 Projects worth around one thousand 850 crore rupees and lay the foundation stone of nine projects worth around two thousand 950 crore rupees.

Srilanka to go bankrupt by 2022 with record-high inflation: Reports 

Sri Lanka is facing a deepening financial and humanitarian crisis as inflation rises to record levels, food prices rocket and its coffers run dry.

Centre sticks to 8 lakh rupees annual income criteria for reservation to EWS candidates  

The Centre has told the Supreme Court that it has decided to retain the existing 8 lakh rupees annual income criteria for candidates of Economic Weaker Sections for NEET-PG counselling.


India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 145.68 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.20%

With the administration of 23,30,706 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 145.68 Cr (1,45,68,89,306) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

10,846 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 3,42,95,407.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.20%. 33,750 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

India’s Active Caseload is presently at 1,45,582. Active cases constitute 0.42% of the country's total Positive Cases. The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 1.68% and the Daily Positivity rate also reported to be 3.84%.
