1. Sri Lanka - India Bi-lateral Naval Exercise, SLINEX 2022 Concluded
  • The ninth edition of the bi-lateral Naval exercise between India and Sri Lanka, SLINEX (Sri Lanka-India Exercise) concluded on 10 Mar 22.
  • SLINEX was conducted from 07 to 10 Mar 22 at Visakhapatnam. The harbour phase included professional interactions between two navies on various topics, sports fixtures and formal calls as well as informal interactions.


2. India, Canada to re-launch CEPA negotiations to unlock full potential of bilateral trade
  • The Commerce and Industry Ministry has said, India-Canada will re-launch the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement negotiations to unlock full potential of bilateral trade.
  • India and Canada held the fifth Ministerial Dialogue on Trade and Investment on Friday. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade of Canada Mary Ng co-chaired the meeting.


3. Finance Ministry release 2221.2 crore grant to Rural Local Bodies in Bihar, Karnataka and West Bengal
  • The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance on Friday released an amount of Rs. 2,221.2 crore to Bihar, Karnataka and West Bengal for providing grants to the Rural Local Bodies.
  • Rs. 1,112.7 crore has been released to Bihar, Rs. 473.9 crore to Karnataka and Rs. 634.6 crore to West Bengal.


4. India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 179.91 Cr; Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.71%
  • With the administration of more than 18.18lakh Doses (18,18,511) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 179.91Cr (1,79,91,57,486) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
  • 5,185 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,24,31,513.
  • Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.71%. 3,614 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
