1. 9th edition of India – Kyrgyzstan Joint Special Forces Exercise Concludes at Bakloh (HP)

The 9th Edition of the India – Kyrgyzstan Joint Special Forces Exercise which commenced on 25 Mar 2022 at Special Forces Training School, Bakloh (HP) culminated on 06 April 2022.
Combat shooting, sniping, survival in mountains, hostage rescue drills and unarmed combat were practiced extensively during the Exercise.

2. India’s Agriculture Exports touch a historic high of USD 50 billion

Exports of agricultural products (including marine and plantation products) for the year 2021-22 have crossed USD 50 billion, highest level ever achieved for agriculture exports.
As per the provisional figures released by DGCI&S, the agricultural exports have grown by 19.92% during 2021-22 to touch $50.21 billion.

3. India-Australia trade pact will raise bilateral trade from the present $26-27 billion to $100 billion by 2030

The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs Piyush Goyal has said the India-Australia trade pact will raise bilateral trade from the present $26-27 billion to $100 billion by 2030, much faster than initial expectation of rising to $50 billion in five years.

4. 2-days Indo-Israel bilateral workshop on Quantum Technologies

A two-day Indo-Israel Bilateral workshop on Quantum Technologies (I2QT-2022), organised by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and DRDO-Industry-Academia Centre of Excellence (DIA-CoE), IIT Delhi has concluded in New Delhi on April 06, 2022.

5. Parliament passes Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill 2022

Parliament has passed the Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill 2022 with Rajya Sabha approving it on 8th April.
The House also rejected the amendments moved by the opposition to refer the bill to the Select Committee. As many as 59 members voted in favour of the amendments while 97 were against it. The Lok Sabha has already passed the Bill.

6. India hosts Clean Energy Ministerial Senior Officials meeting

India is hosting the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) senior officials meetings starting . This will conclude on 08th April. The meeting is being organised to review the work of various work streams in Clean Energy Policies.
The meeting will also be used to prepare the agenda for the upcoming Clean Energy Ministerial Meeting in September 2022.

7. India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 185.20 Cr; Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.76%

India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 185.20 Cr (1,85,20,72,469) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
COVID-19 vaccination for the age group 12-14 years was started on 16 March, 2022. So far, more than 2.04 Cr (2,04,40,247) adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
India’s Active Caseload declines to today 11,639 Active cases now constitute 0.03% of the country's total Positive Cases.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.76%. 1,033 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
