Judicial Officer Rajesh Sekhri appointed as Judge of J&K and Ladakh High Court
Judicial Officer Rajesh Sekhri: The President of India has appointed Rajesh Sekhri, Judicial Officer of Jammu and Kashmir, as a judge in the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court.
The Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court at present has 11 judges including Chief Justice Pankaj Mitthal.
The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on July 14, 2022 had approved the proposal for elevation of Rajesh Sekhri, Judicial Officer, as a Judge in the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court.

Background
In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President of India is pleased to appoint Rajesh Sekhri, Judicial Officer as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, for a period of two years, with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
