Retail inflation eases to 6.71% in July from 7.01%
As per latest data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation India's retail inflation, based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), eased to 6.71 per cent in July this year compared to 7.01 per cent in preceding month.

The Central Government has re-appointed Ms Revathy Iyer as a Member on the Northern Local Board and Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi as a Member on the Eastern Local Board of the Reserve Bank of India for a further period of four years after completion of their present tenure on September 18, 2022, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

RBI cancels Registration Certificate of Two NBFCs
The Reserve Bank of India, in exercise of powers conferred on it under Section 45-IA (6) of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, has cancelled the Certificate of Registration of the following companies.
- Alarming Finvest Private Limited (New Delhi)
- Achal Finance Limited (Karnataka)
As such, the above companies shall not transact the business of a Non-Banking Financial Institution.
First Khelo India Women's Hockey League U-16 to be held in New Delhi
First Khelo India Women's Hockey League under-16 will be held at the Major Dhyanchand Stadium in New Delhi from 16th to 23rd August 2022.
As per the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, a total of 16 teams from across the country are participating. A total of 56 matches will be played and over 300 players will compete in Phase 1 of the league.
