The 11th National Seed Congress-2022 organized by Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agricultural University, Gwalior was inaugurated by the Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar.

On this occasion, the newly constructed Dattopant Thengadi Auditorium of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agricultural University, Gwalior was inaugurated and State Academy of Agricultural and Allied Sciences (SAAS) was also inaugurated.

National Workshop on Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) in Panchayats to be held in Chandigarh

A two-day National Workshop on Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) in Panchayats through Thematic Approaches on Theme 6 – Village with Self-Sufficient Infrastructure is being organized at Chandigarh, Punjab during 22nd – 23rd August, 2022.

An approximate number of 1300 Elected Representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions from across the country will attend the workshop. As many as 34 States and Union Territories are participating in the National Workshop.

Objective

The main objective of the National Workshop will be exhibiting the exemplary strategies, approaches, convergent actions and innovative models in context to capacity building & training; best practices; monitoring framework, incentivization and reflection of themes of SDGs into Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP).

India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 209.67 Cr; Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.59%

India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 209.67 Cr (2,09,67,06,895) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

COVID-19 vaccination for the age group 12-14 years was started on 16 March, 2022. So far, more than 3.99 Cr (3,99,63,095) adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Similarly, the COVID-19 precaution dose administration for age group 18-59 years also started from 10th April, 2022 onwards.

India’s Active Caseload currently stands at 99,879. Active cases now constitute 0.23% of the country's total Positive Cases. 11,539 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.59%. 12,783 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,37,12,218.

The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 3.88% and the Daily Positivity rate is reported to be 3.75%.
