India Bangladesh bilateral issues such as border fencing and developmental works within 150 yards of the International Border, illegal crossing, bilateral cooperation in checking insurgency, combating terrorism, organized crimes and smuggling etc. were discussed in the meeting.

President Draupadi Murmu appoints Tashi Rabstan as Chief Justice of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh

In exercise of the power conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President Draupadi Murmu is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Tashi Rabstan, senior-most Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, with effect from 08.12.2022 consequent upon the retirement of Shri Justice Ali Mohd Magrey, Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

Noted Economist, Former Union Minister YK Alagh passes away at 83

Noted economist and former Union minister Yoginder K Alagh passed away. He was 83. YK Alagh was a professor at the Sardar Patel Institute of Economic and Social Research (SPIESR) in Ahmedabad.

YK Alagh served as the Union minister of state for Planning and Programme Implementation, Science and Technology and Power during 1996-98.

PM Modi to inaugurate three National Ayush Institutes on 11 Dec 2022

Three National Ayush Institutes - All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa, National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM), Ghaziabad and National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH), Delhi will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 11th December 2022.

Key Highlights

These satellite institutes will further strengthen the research, international collaborations and facilitate affordable Ayush services for the larger community.

Establishment of these three National Ayush institutes in Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani will create 400 additional seats for 400 students, who want to pursue UG, PG and Doctoral courses and also add 550 additional beds in these three streams.
