Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate ‘Barisu Kannada Dim Dimava’ cultural festival at Talkatora Stadium, Delhi on 25th February, 2023.

The vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, ‘Barisu Kannada Dim Dimava’ cultural festival is being organized to celebrate Karnataka's culture, traditions and history. The festival, being held under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, will provide an opportunity to hundreds of artists to showcase Karnataka cultural heritage through dance, music, drama, poetry etc.


German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on two day visit to India from 25 Feb 2023 

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will be on a two-day visit to India from 25th February 2023. Chancellor Scholz will be accompanied by senior officials and a high-powered business delegation. He will be accorded a ceremonial welcome at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhawan.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in India: Key Highlights  

This will be the German Chancellor's first visit to India in his current role. This is the first standalone visit of a German Chancellor to India since the biennial Inter-Governmental Consultation mechanism commenced in 2011.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will hold discussions on bilateral, regional and global issues. The two Leaders will also interact with CEOs and business leaders of both sides. Chancellor Scholz will also call on President Droupadi Murmu.

RBI imposes ₹4 lakh penalty on The Satara Sahakari Bank

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a monetary penalty of ₹4.00 lakh (Rupees Four lakh only) on The Satara Sahakari Bank Ltd., Mumbai for non-compliance with the directions issued by RBI on 'Management of Advances and Exposure Norms and Statutory/Other Restrictions-Urban Co-operative Banks (UCBs)'.

President Droupadi Murmu appoints 3 Advocates as Additional Judges of the Allahabad High Court: In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President Droupadi Murmu is pleased to appoint (i) Prashant Kumar (ii) Manjive Shukla, and (iii) Arun Kumar Singh Deshwal, Advocates as Additional Judges of the Allahabad High Court for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.

CSC Academy and NIELIT Sign MoU to Enhance Digital Literacy and skill development 

CSC Academy, a subsidiary of Common Service Centre e-Governance Services India Limited, and NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance digital literacy and skill development in India.

Aims 

The MoU aims to establish a long-term partnership between the two organizations to jointly develop and implement initiatives that promote digital literacy and create employment opportunities for the youth of India.

Background 

Under the MoU, CSC Academy and NIELIT will work together to develop and implement training programs in various fields of technology, such as Skill Development, Virtual Academy, Accreditation and Facilitation Centre, Faculty Development Program, Digital and financial inclusion, Entrepreneurship development, Content and certifications and Provision of support to mutual partners and NGOs.
