BVR Subrahmanyam appointed as CEO of NITI Aayog 

Former IAS officer BVR Subrahmanyam was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NITI Aayog replacing Parameswaran lyer. Parameswaran lyer has been named as the Executive Director of World Bank for a tenure of three years.

Indian Air Force to participate in Exercise Desert Flag VIII 

An Indian Air Force contingent of 110 Air Warriors has arrived at Al Dhafra air base of United Arab Emirates for participating in Exercise Desert Flag VIII. 

The IAF would be participating with five LCA Tejas and two C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. This is the first occasion when the LCA Tejas shall participate in an international flying exercise outside India.

About Exercise Desert Flag 

Exercise Desert Flag is a multilateral air exercise in which Air Forces from UAE, France, Kuwait, Australia, UK, Bahrain, Morocco, Spain, Republic of Korea, and USA would also be participating. The exercise is scheduled from 27 February 23 to 17 March 2023.

The aim of the exercise is to participate in diverse fighter engagements and learn from the best practices of various Air Forces.

Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark on a four-day visit to India 

The Crown Prince of Denmark Frederik AndrĂ© Henrik Christian and Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth arrived in New Delhi this morning on a four-day visit.

The visit of the Royal Couple will be the first visit from the Danish Royal family in two decades. They are visiting India on the invitation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

PM Modi inaugurates Barisu Kannada Dim Dimava Amrit Mahotsav in New Delhi 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Barisu Kannada Dim Dimava’ cultural festival at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi. PM Modi also took a walk-through of the exhibition. 

The festival is held under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and celebrates Karnataka's culture, traditions and history.


The vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, the ‘Barisu Kannada Dim Dimava’ cultural festival is being organized to celebrate Karnataka's culture, traditions and history. 

The festival is held under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and will provide an opportunity for hundreds of artists to showcase Karnataka cultural heritage through dance, music, drama, poetry etc

PM Modi to visit Karnataka on 27th Feb 2023 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka on 27th February, 2023. The Prime Minister will undertake a walkthrough and inspect Shivamogga Airport, after which, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple projects at Shivamogga. 

Thereafter, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and dedicate multiple development initiatives at Belagavi and also release the 13th instalment of PM-KISAN.

W20 (Women 20) W20 Inception Meeting on February 27th -28th, 2023 

The Women 20 (W20), an official G20 engagement group inception meeting will be held in Aurangabad from 27th and 28th February 2023.


W20, 2023 aims to ensure that the W20 communique is representative and comprehensive and will provide solutions to enhance the status of women across the globe.

Nitin Gadkari inaugurates and lays foundation stones for National Highways projects in Maharashtra

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid foundation stone for 5 National Highway projects of 212 km length at Nanded worth Rs. 1,575 Crore, 3 National Highway projects worth Rs 1,058 crore and 75 km length at Parbhani, and National Highway project worth Rs 1,037.4 crore in Hingoli, Maharashtra.

These projects will improve connectivity of Marathwada region with Telangana and Karnataka. The projects will help in improving industrial and agricultural development along with connecting religious places and promoting tourism.
