This agreement is part of the commitment by Prime Ministers of both countries at the 2nd India-Australia Virtual Summit held on 21st March 2022, wherein they had agreed to establish a Joint Task Force for mutual recognition of qualifications.
Task Force was accordingly set up consisting of senior officials of education and skill ministries and regulators on both sides. It has come up with a comprehensive mechanism that covers both education and skill qualifications of the two countries and will help facilitate two way mobility of young people for education and employment purposes by mutually recognizing various levels of education and skill qualifications.....Read More

Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare receives Porter Prize 2023
In a significant achievement towards recognizing efforts in the health sector and especially COVID management, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India received the Porter Prize 2023.

The prize was announced at “The India Dialog” organized by Institute for Competitiveness (IFC) and US Asia Technology Management Center (USATMC) at Stanford University, on February 23 & 24, 2023.
It was presented to MoHFW in the virtual presence of Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and Rajesh Bhushan, Secretary, MoHFW.
The theme of the conference was “The Indian Economy 2023: Innovation, Competitiveness and Social Progress”.
8th National Conference on Economics of Competition Law to be held in New Delhi
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is organising the 8th edition of the National Conference on Economics of Competition Law in New Delhi on 3rd March 2023. The Conference has been organised every year since 2016 by the CCI.

NTPC commissions India’s first Air cooled condenser in Jharkhand
NTPC has commissioned India’s first Air cooled condenser installed Super Critical plant to demonstrate its Commitment towards water conservation through reduce, reuse and recycle.
NTPC, the country’s largest integrated energy utility, has started commercial operation of 1st Unit of 660 MW at North Karanpura (3*660 MW), in Jharkhand on 01st March-2023.
This project has been envisaged with Air Cooled Condenser (ACC) which has almost 1/3rd water footprint as compared to a conventional Water Cooled Condenser (WCC). This would result in water saving of around 30.5 mcm annually thus fulfilling the needs of around 1.5 million people in the region annually.

Parshottam Rupala lays foundation stone of Frozen Semen station in Ranbirbagh, J&K
Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying Parshottam Rupala laid the foundation stone of the Frozen Semen station in Ranbirbagh, Jammu & Kashmir.
Under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission scheme this semen station has been sanctioned a total sum of Rs. 2163.57 lakhs. It will enable Kashmir province to be self- sufficient in the production of high quality and disease free-germplasm to be used for Artificial Insemination coverage.
Background
Frozen Semen Project Ranbir Bagh was established under the INDO-DANISH project in the year 1980. The equipment for processing of frozen semen were obtained under DANIDA, an assistance programme between the Danish Government and GOI.
The project was commissioned to process cryo-preserved semen in the year 1982. Frozen Semen Project Ranbir Bagh (Livestock Development Board-Kashmir) is primarily engaged in production of
frozen semen doses to be used for artificial insemination of cattle in the Kashmir province of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
The station is spread over about 300 Kanals of land estate with inhouse fodder production. Situated under the foothills of the Harmukh mountain range in Ganderbal district of the UT, the station is endowed by natural means of biosecurity.

India's Ravichandran Ashwin has overtaken James Anderson to top the latest ICC Men's Test Bowling Rankings.
The 36-year-old Ashwin first claimed the honour of being the No.1-ranked Test bowler in 2015, and has returned to the top spot on several occasions since then.
