Lalit Kumar Gupta appointed as CMD of CCI: Lalit Kumar Gupta was appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Cotton Corporation of India (CCI).

The Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) is a Public sector undertaking in India (PSU) under the Ministry of Textile.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Lalit Kumar Gupta as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of CCI.

As per an official order, Gupta has been appointed as the CMD of CCI for a period of five years from the date he assumes office, or till the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
