New Delhi Homeland Security Dialogue 2024: India-USA Senior Officials’ Homeland Security Dialogue (HSD) was held in New Delhi.
Ajay Bhalla, Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and Ms Kristie Canegallo, Acting Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of Homeland Security led the respective delegations.

India-US Homeland Security Dialogue 2024
During the Homeland Security Dialogue 2024 held in New Delhi, both sides reviewed the ongoing cooperation in various areas of counter-terrorism and security, which are key pillars of the India-US strategic partnership.

Both sides also discuss necessary steps to strengthen bilateral cooperation to combat terrorism, violent extremism, drug trafficking, organized crime and ensure transport security.
India and the United States have taken necessary steps to ensure safe and lawful migration, prevent misuse of cyberspace for illegal migration, human trafficking, money laundering, cyber crimes and other illicit activities including funding of terrorists and also reiterated commitment to strengthen vibrant relations between the two countries.

India-US sign MoU
The Homeland Security Dialogue concluded with the signing of the following documents that will further deepen bilateral security cooperation between India and the United States.
- A Memorandum of Cooperation on law enforcement training between the U.S. Federal Law Enforcement Training Centre and India’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy.

Both sides agreed to mutually hold the next round of Senior Officials Homeland Security Dialogue in Washington DC.
