The closing ceremony of the 17th edition of India-Mongolia joint military exercise Nomadic Elephant was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh along with Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh, Director General Operational Logistics and Strategic Movement, attended the closing ceremony of India-Mongolia Military Exercise Nomadic Elephant 2025. The Indian Army contingent, comprising 45 personnel predominantly from a battalion of the Arunachal Scouts, actively participated in the two-week-long exercise Nomadic Elephant 2025.

The closing ceremony of the 17th edition of India-Mongolia joint military exercise Nomadic Elephant was held at the Special Forces Training Centre Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The exercise enhanced joint operational capabilities of both the Armies in employing a joint task force in counter terrorism operations and sub-conventional operations within semi-urban and mountainous terrain.
Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh along with Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh, Director General Operational Logistics and Strategic Movement, attended the closing ceremony of India-Mongolia Exercise Nomadic Elephant 2025.
Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh is also scheduled to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Multinational Joint Military Exercise Khaan Quest 2025 at the same location on 14th June 2025, in which Indian Army contingent is also one of the participants. Exercise Khaan Quest 2025 will be conducted from 14th to 28th June 2025.
The Indo-Mongolian Exercise Nomadic Elephant reinforces the India-Mongolia relationship as a cornerstone of regional cooperation, fostering strong military ties and promotion of cultural understanding.

The India-Mongolia Joint Exercise Nomadic Elephant 2025 training was aimed at enhancing interoperability between the Indian Army and Mongolian Armed Forces while operating as a Joint Task Force in semi-traditional scenarios in semi-urban and mountainous terrain under the United Nations mandate.
