25th edition of Partnership Summit in Mumbai

The 25th edition of Partnership Summit 2019, a global platform for dialogue, debate, deliberation and engagement among Indian and global leaders on economic policy and growth trends in India, is being held in Mumbai.


 The two-day event will be inaugurated by the Vice President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu.

The Summit is expected to build new partnerships and explore investment opportunities through high level exchanges and B2B meetings.

This edition of the Summit, on 12th and 13th January 2019, will showcase India in the present landscape of an emerging “New India”, the “New Global Economic Address”.

The Summit is being organized by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, State Government of Maharashtra and Confederation of Indian Industry.

The themes of the sessions in the two days of the Summit will cover topics like:-

4th meeting of the Council for Trade Development and Promotion (CTDP) held in New Delhi

The 4th meeting of the Council for Trade Development and Promotion (CTDP), chaired by Union Minister for Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu, was held in New Delhi.


10 states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Nagaland, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradeshattended this meeting.

The main aims of the meeting tapping into the global value and supply chain by promoting the export of services, organic agricultural produce, in corporate value addition to agricultural products and fully utilize all the schemes and programmes of the Government of India.

Government of India has formulated an Agricultural Export Policy for the first time with a focused plan to boost India’s agricultural exports to USD 60 billion by 2022.

Suresh Prabhu informed the Council regarding efforts being made by the Central Government in preparing a development plan for each and every district so that growth is led from the district upwards which will be a game changer in taking India’s GDP to USD 5 trillion in 2025..........Read More


Sikkim will become first state to roll out Universal Basic Income

Sikkim will be the first state to roll out Universal Basic Income (UBI) and has started the process to introduce the unconditional direct cash transfer scheme.


Sikkim’s chief minister and head of Sikkim's ruling party(Sikkim Democratic FrontPawan kumar chamling, quoted that if everything goes right then Sikkim would be the first state to implement Universal Basic Income System and execute it by 2022.

One-day Global Skill Summit 2019 held in Ranchi, Jharkhand: jobs given to more than 1 lakh youth

The one-day Global Skill Summit 2019 was held in Ranchi, Jharkhand, organised by the State Government.

On this occasion, in total 1,06,619 youths of Jharkhand were given symbolic offer letter for jobs in the private sector, surpassing the target of giving jobs to 1,00,000 youths.


It was attended by Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, & Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

 The theme of the Summit was ‘Skilling Youth, Enabling Youth’.
