Indus River Dolphin declared as Punjab’s State aquatic animal
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh declared one of the rarest mammal, Indus River Dolphin, which is only found in Beas River ,as Punjab State Aquatic Animal.
The decision was taken at the a meeting of the state board for wildlife chaired by chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
The Indus river dolphin is the second most endangered freshwater river dolphin.
The chief minister also gave approval to declare the Kanjli Wetland and the holy Kali Bein River as a wildlife conservation reserve to mark the historic 550th birth anniversary of Sikhism founder Guru Nanak Dev.............Read More
Microsoft signs MoU with Sikkim govt for enhancing digital literacy
The Sikkim government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft India.
The MoU has been inked between them to improve the education system in Sikkim by boosting digital literacy and new age technology knowledge in government schools.
The MoU was signed between the state Human Resource Department RB Subba and Managing Director of Microsoft India, Manish Prakash.
This agreement will also help Sikkim to upgrade its state curriculum from class VI to class X with IT course.........Read More

RBI has approved the appointment of Ajai Kumar as the interim CEO of YES Bank, Rana Kapoor's reign as the managing director and chief executive of Yes Bank, which was co-founded by him, finally ended.
RBI approved Ajai Kumar as Interim MD and CEO of the bank from February 1, 2019, for one month or till Ravneet Gill assumes office as MD and CEO.
