Russia launched the world’s largest nuclear powered icebreaker ‘Ural’

Russia launched the world’s largest nuclear powered icebreaker ‘Ural’ at the Baltic Shipyard in St Petersburg in order to improve its ability to tap the Arctic’s commercial potential.

Ural is one of the three ships that when completed will be the largest and most powerful icebreakers in the world. The construction of icebreakers with the aim of boosting freight traffic along its Arctic coast.
