US India Strategic Partnership Forum meets on PM Narendra Modi

The members of US India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi. The delegation was led by Chairman, USISPF, Mr. John Chambers.

The Prime Minister Modi appreciated the delegation for reposing faith in the Indian Economy. He mentioned about the evolving start-up ecosystem in the country, highlighting the entrepreneurial risk taking capacity of India’s youth. He also outlined the steps taken by the Government including Atal Tinkering Labs and conducting Hackathons to boost innovation potential and solve problems using technology.

Prime Minister Modi talked about steps taken to ensure Ease of Doing Business like reduction of corporate tax and labour reforms. He also outlined that the target of government is ensuring Ease of Living. He said that the unique strength of India is the availability of three Ds - democracy, demography and ‘dimaag’.

The Delegation expressed faith in the vision of the Prime Minister for the country and said that the next five years India will define the next twenty five years of the world.


Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal begins Two-Day official Visit to Sweden

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal went on a two-day official visit to Sweden to will attend the 19th Session of the Indo-Swedish Joint Commission for Economic, Industrial and Scientific Cooperation in Stockholm, Sweden on 23rd October 2019.

The session will be co-chaired by Ms. Anna Hallberg, Minister of Foreign Trade, Government of the Kingdom of Sweden and Piyush Goyal, Commerce and Industry Minister, Government of India.

There is significant potential for enhancing bilateral collaboration in key areas like green technologies, renewable energy, smart infrastructure, healthcare and defence. Trade in services is large and growing, especially in areas of IT, business services, travel and transportation.


Uttar Pradesh tops in crimes against women: NCRB Report

According to the latest Crime in India Report 2017 (After a delay of two years) was published by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) 3,59,849 cases of crime against women were reported in the country.

 Uttar Pradesh topped the list with 56,011 cases followed by Maharashtra with 31,979 cases and West Bengal 30,002.

"Majority of cases under crimes against women were registered under ‘Cruelty by Husband or his Relatives’ (27.9%) followed by ‘Assault on Women with Intent to Outrage her Modesty’ (21.7%), ‘Kidnapping and Abduction of Women’ (20.5%) and ‘Rape’ (7.0%),” the report stated.....Read More

Minister Piyush Goyal launches Jaipur-Sikar DEMU Passenger Service


The minister Piyush Goyal flagged off the inaugural run of the JaipurSikar-Jaipur DEMU Service between Jaipur and Sikar through video conferencing.

Members of Parliament from Sikar Sumedhananda Saraswati participated in the inaugural ceremony from Ringus. This service will operate on the newly Gauge converted Jaipur - Ringus section.....Read More

AYUSH Minister inaugurated Ayurveda Palliative Care Unit at Base Hospital

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik inaugurated Ayurveda Palliative Care Unit at Palliative Care Centre, Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt, New Delhi.

On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between Ministry of AYUSH and Ministry of Defence for the Integration of AYUSH under the health establishments of Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS).


Under the MoU Ayurveda Units will also be established at Palliative Care Centre, Army Research and Referral Hospital, Air Force Hospital, Hindon, Ghaziabad and Five identified Ex- Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Polyclinics in Delhi –NCR.......Read More 


Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan to visit Russia and Japan

Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, accompanied by an official and business delegation, will be visiting Russia and Japan from 22-26 October 2019.

The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, will sign anMoU with the Russian National Chamber of Engineers. The MoU will strengthen the symbolic bilateral energy cooperation as the technical expertise of both organisations will help EIL in providing its services for upcoming projects across the hydrocarbon value chain in Russia.

At the invitation of the Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, ShriPradhan will visit Tokyo, Japan, from 25-26 October to participate in the Global Forum on Steel Excess Capacity (GFSEC) Ministerial meeting. Presently, Japan holds the Chair of this Global Forum. The proposed GFSEC meeting will involve policy discussions.

India and Japan have a lot of synergies in the energy sector. In the run up to energy transition in India to a gas based economy, India is collaborating on a big scale with Japan in the LNG sector, inter alia, exchange best practices and to develop a flexible global LNG Market.


India vs South Africa 3rd Test: India beat South Africa by an innings and 202 runs, clinch 1st-ever series whitewash


 This is the first time India has whitewashed South Africa in the Test series 3-0.
 Rohit Sharma was adjudged 'Man of the Series' and 'Man of the Match'.

India had declared their first innings for 497 runs at the loss of nine wickets. South Africa were all out for 162 runs in their first innings. Based on the first innings, India got a lead of 335 runs. .

 After the follow-on, South Africa collapsed for 133 runs in the second innings.
