1. Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria takes over as the 26th Chief of the Air Staff
  • Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria PVSM AVSM VM ADC took over as the 26th Chief of the Air Staff at a ceremony held at Air Headquarters (Vayu Bhawan).
  • He succeeds Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa, who retired after 41 years of service in the IAF.
  • RKS Bhadauria was appointed as the next chief of IAF by the Union Government on September 19, 2019.
  • Air Marshal Bhadauria was commissioned in the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force in June 1980, and has held various command, staff and instructional positions.

2. Prime Minister Modi to attend Arogya Manthan function at New Delhi
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the valedictory function of Arogya Manthan at Vigyan Bhawan. Arogya Manthan is a two-day event organized by the National Health Authority, to mark the completion of one year of Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY.
  • A new mobile application of Ayushman Bharat will be launched by the Prime Minister at the venue. 
  • He will also launch the ‘Ayushman Bharat Start-Up Grand Challenge’ and will release a commemorative stamp on the occasion.
  • Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 23rd, 2018.

3. BRAHMOS Supersonic Cruise missile with indigenous systems test-fired successfully
  • BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile featuring Indian propulsion system, air frame, power supply and other major indigenous components, was successfully test fired at 10.20 AM on 30th September 2019, from ITR, Chandipur in Odisha.
  • The missile was successfully test-fired for its full range of 290-km during the launch jointly conducted by DRDO and BrahMos Aerospace.
  • It was jointly conducted by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the BRAHMOS Aerospace.

4. Closing Ceremony Indo-Thailand Joint Military Exercise Maitree - 2019
  • Exercise MAITREE-2019, the joint military training exercise between Indian Army (IA) & Royal Thailand Army (RTA) which commenced on 16 Sep 19, culminated on 29 Sep 2019 at Foreign Training Node, Umroi (Meghalaya).
  • During the last 14 days, contingents of both armies shared their expertise and experiences in counter terrorism operations and enhanced interoperability.

5. 94th Military Nursing Service Raising Day to be celebrated
  • The 94th Raising Day of the Military Nursing Service (MNS) is to be celebrated tomorrow, on October 01, 2019.
  • Nursing officers will rededicate themselves to render high quality, selfless nursing care to their patients by reading the Florence Nightingale Pledge on the occasion.
  • The Chief of the Army Staff will be the chief guest at a function organized at Army Hospital (Referral & Research) to mark the Raising Day.

6. Harsh Vardhan inaugurates ‘Arogya Manthan’, on completion of one year of Ayushman Bharat- PMJAY
  • Dr Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, inaugurated the ‘Arogya Manthan’, a 2-day national workshop organised by the National Health Authority (NHA) to mark the first year anniversary of Ayushman Bharat PMJAY, which was launched on 23rd September last year at Ranchi by the Prime Minister Modi.

7. Nitin Gadkari Inaugurates Dasna-Hapur Section of Delhi-Meerut Expressway
  • Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the Dasna-Hapur section of Delhi-Meerut Expressway (package-3) in UP’s Pilakhuwa.
  • The 82-kilometre long Delhi-Meerut Expressway connects Delhi with Meerut in western Uttar Pradesh. A sum of Rs 8346 crore is likely to be spent on the project.
