PM Modi launches physical distribution of Property Cards under SVAMITVA Scheme: Quick Highlights  

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched physical distribution of property cards under SVAMITVA scheme through video conferencing and interacted with the beneficiaries of the scheme.

Prime Minister Modi wished the beneficiaries of ‘SVAMITVA Scheme' who have got property cards of their houses today and said now the beneficiaries will have a right, a legal document of owning their houses. The scheme is going to bring historical changes to the villages in the country. He added the country has taken another major step towards an Atma Nirbhar Bharat, as the scheme helps in making rural India self-reliant.


One lakh beneficiaries from Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh have been handed over the legal papers of their houses and the government of India promised to give such property cards to every household in the next three - four years in every village of the country.......Read More


ADB, India sign USD 270 million loan to improve urban services in Madhya Pradesh 64 small cities 

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of India signed a $270 million loan to develop water supply and integrated storm water and sewage management infrastructure and strengthen capacities of urban local bodies (ULBs) for improved service delivery in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

This is an additional financing to scale up the scope of the ongoing Madhya Pradesh Urban Services Improvement Project, which was approved in 2017 with a $275 million loan. It will expand the outcome of the current project by covering additional 64 small cities benefiting 185,000 households consisting of about 1.3 million people.


India and ADB Sign USD 300 Million Loan to Develop Rajasthan’s Secondary Towns 

The Government of India and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) today signed a $300 million loan to finance inclusive and sustainable water supply and sanitation infrastructure and services in 14 secondary towns of the state of Rajasthan.

The project aims to provide better quality and more sustainable water supply and sanitation (WSS) services in the project towns that will improve quality of life in these towns, including for the poor and vulnerable after signing the loan agreement.


FM Nirmala Sitharaman announces major schemes to boost demand in country by Rs 73,000 Cr 

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced major schemes to boost demands in the country by nearly 73 thousand crore rupees.

Addressing a media briefing in the National Capital today, the minister laid out the details of the fiscally prudent proposals to stimulate demand in the economy. Ms. Sitharaman informed that the new proposals aim at giving a thrust of around 36 thousand crore rupees to the consumer demands by the Leave Travel Concession LTC Voucher and Festival advance scheme.

Additionally she said, 37 thousand crore rupees will be infused in the capital expenditure by the Centre and the State Governments.

Briefing about the schemes, the Minister informed that in lieu of the LTC for the 2018-21 block term, payments will be made to the government employees for their 10 day Leave encashment and eligible travel fare.
