I. Arjun Munda inaugurates first-ever Virtual 10-day-long Aadi Mahotsav in Madhya Pradesh

1. The 10-day-long Adi Mahotsav in Madhya Pradesh was inaugurated today in a virtual format by the Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda.
2. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, TRIFED has decided to organise its annual program Aadi Mahotsav-2020 in an online mode this year.
3. The main focus is on the tribal craft and culture of Madhya Pradesh. Ms. Meena Singh, Minister for Tribal Development, Government of Madhya Pradesh and Shri Ramesh Chand Meena, Chairman, TRIFED were the guests of honour for this online inauguration today.

II. Assam govt to launch ‘Orunodoi’ scheme in Guwahati

1. Assam government will launch the ‘Orunodoi’ scheme today. Over 18 lakh families in the state will receive 830 rupees per month in their bank accounts under the scheme. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will launch the scheme in presence of Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati.

III. PM Modi interacts with three teams working on developing & manufacturing COVID-19 vaccine

1. The Prime Minister on Monday had virtual meetings with 3 teams working on developing & manufacturing vaccine for COVID-19. These teams were from Gennova Biopharmaceuticals Ltd Pune, Biological E Ltd Hyderabad and Dr. Reddys Laboratories Ltd Hyderabad.
2. The PM appreciated the efforts being taken by the scientists in these companies to come out with a vaccine solution to tackle COVID-19. The potential of various platforms for vaccine development was also discussed.

1. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated six-lane widening project of the Varanasi - Prayagraj section of NH-19 today in Varanasi.
2. The 73 Km stretch of the newly widened and six laned NH19, made with a total outlay of Rs 2447 crore, is expected to reduce the travel time between Prayagraj and Varanasi by one hour.

1. Telangana state, senior leader of the ruling Telangana Rastra Samiti (TRS) and Member of Legislative Assembly, N. Narasimhaiah passed away this morning in Hyderabad. He was 65 year. He was admitted in a Hyderabad-based corporate hospital for the past few days due to illness.
