Former Union Minister Buta Singh passes away at 86 in New Delhi

Veteran Congress leader and, Former Union Minister Buta Singh passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. He was 86.

About - Former Union Minister Buta Singh 

Congress leader Buta Singh was elected to the Lok Sabha eight times. Buta Singh served as Union Home Minister, Minister for Agriculture, Parliamentary Affairs, Civil Supplies, Housing, Shipping, Transport and Sports. Shri Singh also served as the Governor of Bihar and Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes.

PM Narendra Modi condoles passing away of Shri Buta Singh

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the demise of Shri Buta Singh.

In a tweet, Shri Modi said

"Shri Buta Singh Ji was an experienced administrator and effective voice for the welfare of the poor as well as downtrodden. Saddened by his passing away. My condolences to his family and supporters."
